IMO - get us the hell out of this draft. If someone is dumb enough to fall in love with someone at #10 and/or #29 and give us quality veteran value or future draft capital, Danny should take it and run.

Depending on the price I really like this. Assuming, only, that Lauri is kept and extended. If we could get him for some package like Collins, Clarkson, and our pile of draft capital in this crap draft, I think it's a no-brainer.

I'm gonna call BS here, but if it really did exceed the Rudy package, I would support trading Lauri. I've posted emphatically numerous times that I think we should build around LM rather than trade him, but a bonkers return like we got for Rudy would change my thinking.

Hell yes. Expectations at #10 in this draft are probably role player/rotational player/fringe starter type. Topic has the potential to be considerably more than that. I'd bet on a full recovery + upside any day.

I agree we have sucked by design the last two seasons. Hands down we're a playoff/play-in team without trading 2+ rotation guys at each deadline and building our rotations around winning now, vs. our second half tank-a-thons. I expect that tide turns this offseason/next season. No harm in...

My first thoughts was "why?" as this doesn't help either team get out of either contract. But upon further consideration (~1 minute) I think it makes sense. Both players clearly fit better on the other team.

100% agree with this unless he becomes a serviceable shooting threat. We've seen firsthand the limitations of lineups with two non-shooters.

I can definitely get behind Devin Carter. Hard to imagine he falls out of the lottery post combine measurements/performance. Clear "low floor" guy and I'm a self-confessed plus wingspan slut. I'll add him onto the (exceedingly short) list of guys I'd be somewhat excited about.

I don't necessarily disagree with your thought process. If we whiff on building a playoff competitive roster this offseason, and he decides not to accept a 4-year extension, it makes a lot of sense to sell high on Lauri. I also don't assume we'll trade for an Ant, Luka or Giannis caliber guy...

Really not a fan of trading Lauri in any way, shape or form, unless he firmly tells us he will not re-sign. 7 foot guys who shoot 50/40/90 (ish) are just really hard to find. He is a perfect complimentary piece to a true, #1, star option, which we have the assets to acquire should one become...
