Not sure, maybe they actually need a scorer like him? Hard to envision it fitting well though. What the hell do they do with Randle?
Tbh - I’d rather keep Lauri. Jazz have a unicorn in the prime of his career and it seems like so many fans want to try to cash in. I get it, but I’d rather build around him. Opportunities are going to come available and the Jazz are suited to take advantage of just about anything right now.Wowza. Makes you wonder what Lauri would fetch.

Me too tbh. We’re tanking next year anyway. So yet another wasted Lauri year. And we’re probably not even going to be playoff ready the year after. So maybe 3 years from now we’ll be a playoff contender? How much longer is Lauri’s contract for?I'm down

How old will he be here in 3-4 years when we’re maybe good enough to complete for a 6-8 playoff seed?I agree.
Well, he's 27 now, so that would suggest he'll be 30-31 in 3-4 years. How old will he be here in 3-4 years when we’re maybe good enough to complete for a 6-8 playoff seed?
They also really deep though and lots of dudes need minutes. I bet dudes don't play as much as people think they willKind of cool they reunited the Nova guys. Team is now super interesting if they keep OG and Hartenstein
I know everyone loves Thibs, but I'd be seriously worried about this team ever making it to a postseason in good shape. They might go for 60 wins next season and have nothing left come playoff time.
Really hope we see the full version of this team in the playoffs at some point.
It’s a Thibbs coached team. Their bench will be starting come mid season because all the starters will be out with injury. They also really deep though and lots of dudes need minutes. I bet dudes don't play as much as people think they will

I think this is right. The Nets couldn't pair Bridges with someone else after trying so they got tired of trying to attract guys to follow Mikal and they cashed in.
If we can't pair someone with Lauri NOW then we are in the same spot as Brooklyn was... aka middling capital of the world.
it hasnt mde any sense the last two years... and it wont make any sense the next 2.
NY just set the market. Its time to cash in and completely reset.
It makes a ton of sense unless you get a Bridges offerI think this is right.
Sadly, keeping Lauri just doesn’t make sense to me anymore. If we’re trying to tank and rebuild then let’s do it right. Instead, we’re just holding onto an asset that will only diminish in value the longer we hold onto it. I’d love to see a Lauri led team do stuff in the playoffs but I just don’t see how we can build fast enough around him to make retaining him over the next 3-4 years make any sense.
Is there any reason to think that Lauri wouldn't be as valuable as Bridges? It makes a ton of sense unless you get a Bridges offer
I mean only two teams have that many assets to give up I believe. Is there any reason to think that Lauri wouldn't be as valuable as Bridges?
I think that’s what we’re banking on, right? Is to get something like that as an offer. I’d be curious as to what the possibilities are for such an offer. It makes a ton of sense unless you get a Bridges offer
The only one is that his contract hasn't been signed so he is only locked in for 1 year.Is there any reason to think that Lauri wouldn't be as valuable as Bridges?
I think this is the right call. At some point, all the first rounders that teams have, can, and would trade is going to dry up. Best to get the darts to throw, suck as hard as we can, and let the young players play. The Nets couldn't pair Bridges with someone else after trying so they got tired of trying to attract guys to follow Mikal and they cashed in.
