Yes the Jazz will have to resign Tinsley too in order to lessen Watson's chances. Tinsley has been a true professional for the Jazz and proved that by reaching out to Burke and offering to mentor him not knowing if he was even returning so I would like him back in a limited role.

I've been a loyal follower of the Jazz for the last 17 years but I'm just not familiar with some of the contract terms since I haven't really paid attention to them in the past. So if Marvin chose not to play for the Jazz this year then he would become a free agent in the same way that AK did?

What I mean by "handcuffed" is why didn't the Jazz have a say in whether he stays on this team or not this season? From what I read that decision was left up to him. The Jazz should never put themselves in a position where the player is holding all the cards.
