I remember back when I was still in SLC and Thurl was still a player. I walked into a bank and our paths crossed and he said hi to me first. It might have been because I'm 6'10", but I always have thought he was a class guy. One of my favorite Jazz guys.
From Steve Luhm's Twitter: Jazz's Richard Jefferson sent home from practice with stomach issues. Game-time decision Wednesday. (Trade deadline Thursday).
Coincidence?
I know this has been discussed ad nauseam here, but I'd like to add the perspective of a fan who has followed the Jazz since they first moved to Salt Lake City. The Jazz were fortunate to have a great coach in Sloan as well as Stockton and Malone for so many years. I will admit to being...

6'9" 215. Pretty skinny, but looking at his stats he seems to block quite a few shots. A taller Jeremy Evans perhaps?
I started following the Jazz back when they first moved to Utah. One of my first memories as a Jazz fan was being berated by Adrian Dantley for using a cheap basketball for him to sign, I was in Jr. High at the time and I just thought he was an ***hole after that and was glad when he left...
It's a pretty entertaining read:

As much as I would like to see the Jazz move up in the draft, I really don't see his theory come to fruition.
I would love to see 1, and why may see glimpses of it. I just think our bench is too weak for that to be sustained over an entire season. I think scenario #2 is what we'll likely see.
Trey likely has a saved filter for his name that tracks whenever someone Tweets his name. It's a bit narcissistic, but we're in the age of social media and he is a young kid. I am not overly concerned with this stuff honestly. In fact my only concern about Trey is his ability to finish at the...
I agree. I don't mind paying a premium to get an ad free version. The apps on the iOS version are really obtrusive. I'll go back to just using the mobile browser on my iPad once Tapatalk is turned off.
What I would really like to see Hayward's teammates do is roll to the hoop when Gordon attacks the basket. He seems to get caught in no man's land a lot when he goes to the hoop. Having someone to dish to underneath would make him that much more dangerous.
I spent my first 30 years in Utah and have lived in Seattle for the last 10 or so. It took me a little time to become acclimated to the differences. Growing up in a small city like Salt Lake results in a bit of culture shock when moving to a bigger city. I am not LDS, so I can't speak on that...
Especially if you consider how many teams sluffed off of Tinsley and Watson daring them to shoot the three. Having a point guard who is at least a three point shooting threat keeps defenses honest. I've not seen Schroeder play other than the highlights, but if his shooting is suspect, I...
I don't believe the Jazz are going to deliberately tank the season by sitting starters, etc. but they have definitely gone all in on the young core which given the lack of depth on the bench will likely lead to a high lottery pick.
I think the lack of a bench is going to be the killer this year. I'm also a bit concerned where the scoring is going to come from, but I am excited to see how this all plays out.
