Isn't the logical deal here a three team one? Favors (maybe JJ too?) going to a contender, Mirotic to us, the contender's late first round pick to Chicago. Not sure who if anyone would fit the bill though. Cavs for sure, but I don't think they have their own pick this year.

The more bidders that get involved (Portland, Detroit) the less likely we are to make the deal, I think. Those two are both playoff teams with much lower and less important first round picks and a greater incentive to shed them in order to improve.

I am intrigued by Mirotic, but guys slow down. Look at his stats from last year: 10.6 / 5.5 on 41% shooting, 34% from 3. His year before that he was essentially a Hood type players - FG% of 40% and 3pfg% of 39%. He's a solid bench piece or occasional starter (depending on team make-up). He...
