I think we need to keep at least one. I would prefer Millsap as a sixth man and start Kanter/Favors.
It would be painful at times, but there is no replacement for playing time. All 3 could average 30+ mins.
Include Tinsley/Watson in the trade to make room for Burks.
And stay just good enough to get swept in the first round of the playoffs. Unfortunately we are one year to late on getting equal value for Millsap or Jefferson.
That works if Al is willing to pass it back out with more than 2 seconds left on the clock. When Tinsley gets the ball back, all he has time to do is shoot.
I think TY feels that Foye is better right now and is afraid to lose now.
If we suck bad enough during the middle of the season, then the pressure to win now will be taken off. Ty can finally play the kids without pressure and we will magically start winning and make a late season playoff run...
The next couple of games would be a great time to experiment with it. A couple of games we should win on the road anyways to see what works and get the rotation kinks figured out. I put Hayward at "point" because I think he is our best play "creator" and williams is a better spot up shooter. I...
I would love to see this line-up for large chunks of the game. My only concern would be Hayward fitting in. He would help the defensive side of the ball, but his outside shot is struggling right now and they would need two players on the perimiter to stretch the defense and keep it honest. Burks...
I do think Jefferson's time on the team is limited. It all depends on the developement of Kanter and any other draft picks we bring in as to how long he is in SLC.
Jefferson catches the ball out of position too often. Some times that is his fault for not working for position, but usually he is given the ball late by the guards. Unfortunately, he tries to force the issue when he is off his spot leading to jump shots. He also has the tendancy to let the...
I don't see why we can't do this with more of the roster. There is not a significant drop off from our starters to our reserves (an upgrade at some positions actually, imo). There is no reason for both Millsap and Jefferson to be playing 30 mpg with 4 games in 5 nights or 5 games in 7 nights. It...
I would like to see Kanter and Favors get more playing time, especially on nights when Al and Paul struggle. The other option is to go big like LA has done for years. Move Paul to the 3 for a couple of minutes and bring Favors in to play power forward. This would mostly be a defensive alignment...
I think it is totally different than Deron demanding fouls be called. Millsap almost gets rookie treatment on both ends of the floor. He gets hammered while driving to the basket with no call on offense, then gets called for a ticky-tack foul on defense. Millsap does play physically, which leads...
If we can get a wing to step up and have a good game to take some pressure off the front court we can beat almost anyone. At the end of games we are unbalanced and predictable.
It would be nice to have a player on the wing that can create a shot for himself or a team mate out of nothing at the end of the game. Late in the game, a better than average team can just pack in the paint to deny paul and big al open looks at the basket. The Maveriks and Raptors both dared us...
I agree that Raja has a place on the team, and don't even mind him starting the game. I don't want him on the floor at the end of games. Our perimeter play at the end of the last three games has been terrible. With how well both CJ and Burks have been playing, it is frustrating to watch Raja and...
