I really like Klay in the ASG for a simple reason: What he does is something very few players can do, especially reaching his level of unselfishness...
A lot of players can be first options and fill that role successfully, but for a player who could be a first option to do the unselfish thing...
But is that matchup still close, if Curry is playing? I mean I know the Cavs are missing Isaiah Thomas, but there are more question marks behind him and especially about the quality of looks he's going to provide for Curry. You can't hide Thomas when playing the Warriors.
Alrite the 2nd possible foul wasn't one because KD hit the ball 1 microsecond before he hit the shoulder. I'd love to see where the other two refs stood, because the one in the background of the proof screen capture had no clean look.
Then it's still up to debate if the contact on the crossover...
Yeah but for what it's worth, it's not like Sixers are doing damage this year already. They are right in wanting to keep Embiid healthy long term. Especially after he's missed so much. If he's reinjured there's no sample size with him being healthy, which is both important for the medical staff...
Why would a 12th pick be a bad thing in 2018? If you develop that guy he can gain value and you can still bundle multiple assets to trade for an impatient star.
I don't see the similarity tbh. Williams is more like young Ibaka with more upside to become a versatile scorer and a lot more strength than Ibaka ever had. His shooting is mainly static. For Bagley the obvious comparison given size, handling and athleticism is Giannis. Ppl will take a flyer on...
Next to Gobert, Ryan Anderson with better defense on mid level money together with a max contract back court talent is better than Draymond on max money while having a mediocre backcourt player.
I think a Draymond is too weak of a shooter. When defense and hustle can't be maximized because there's this 7'2 juggernaut cleaning the whole paint area, you'd rather take 40+% outside shooting and are happy when that player is limited physically in what he can contribute individually on...
But how we gonna find that outside the lottery? That's pretty unlikely, since the NBA is right now stabilizing in the analytics era with unicorns being the outlier, where some players are just way better in certain aspects of the game that players their size usually are.
I think if the Jazz got themselves a PF with shooting + playmaking that would be best case. It would allow Rubio to focus on passing with decent spacing while two knockdown shooters are manning wing positions(2 out of Mitchell, Hood, Ingles, Burks)
One might think after drafting Porzingis and with both Hernangomez and Ntilikina showing a lot of promise that Knicks fans could finally rid themselves of stigmatizing international talent in the city with the most national diversity in the whole country, but I think you may be onto something...
Doncic's play has cooled off, I wonder if his efficiency is dropping because his team is injured and opponents can funnel so much into stopping the young kid or if it's just a slump. He still tries to control the game, he's just making more mistakes in the process.
I think Porter Jr. has a body that's too good to get exposed at the college level. If anything the NBA is his litmus test and we'll see anyways how he fares there. Just sucks for the teams that can't scout his progress.
Simmons can't shoot though. I'M not saying Doncic is Curry as a shooter, but look how much easier it getts for everyone else on the court to score when the defense has to put emphasis on the 3pt line
