Following Potential 2018 Draftees

TNT dudes are under-valuing TH of the Pistons. Would love that dude on the Jazz over Hood.

Ehh, I'd take him over Hood solely for positional reasons. He has enough size to be a 4, which is nice, but I don't think he is any better than Hood outside of that. Has basically the same issues as Hood, only even more troublesome.

I feel like we could have beat the offer that got him... could have had both guys... always liked Harris.

I don't mind agreeing with this. Dude is underrated and I'd take him over Hood 9 times out of 10. Love his game and consistency.

He has developed way worse than I thought coming out of Tennessee. A lot of wasted potential. I really thought he would be a lot more than a jump shooter.

Sure but not like scott skiles is a great development coach... put him with Johnny Bryant and he's a perennial all star.

I doubt it. 7 years into the league, he is what he is. Hood is at least showing some growth at expanding his attacking game. Harris has actually regressed, he is just on fire this year from deep.

I'm talking about as a rookie and when he went to Orlando... not sure you can say he has regressed... he's making more baskets right now and his team is winning a lot.

Do you think 50% 3pt shooting is sustainable? Cuz once that regresses to the mean he has a .11 FTR, which is historically bad, like worse than Trey Burke.

Forwards likely available in the 6 - 12 range of the draft (where the Jazz should be picking):

-- Jaren Jackson Jr.
-- Miles Bridges
-- Kevin Knox
-- Robert Williams
-- Dzanan Musa

....with a small chance that Jared Vanderbilt makes it into this group.

Interested to see how the Jazz ultimately rank these guys.

Yeah, a 6'8" teenager with his passing abilities is very rare; it's reminiscent of LeBron and Simmons. He's not the athlete those two are, but he's far and away a more natural shooter, which becomes more important every year in the NBA.

My comp for Doncic's upside is James Harden

More Musa. There's some risk, but if he plays disciplined and really pans out, he could be something close to Klay Thompson. He sure isn't afraid to put up shots.

After Doncic and Porter Jr., I like Knox and Jackson Jr. for the Jazz.

Knox has the potential to be something close to Aaron Gordon if he works hard, and he should be able to play either forward position. Early in the season, he's already putting up 4.7 attempts from 3 per game.

By mid-season, I think people will be comparing Jaren Jackson Jr. to Myles Turner. He already lists at 6'11", 240 lbs like Turner did at U. Texas, and he'll be able to space the floor fairly well as a 4 or 5.

So that would give the Jazz two different types of big forwards to put next to Gobert.

Am I the only one who doesn't really get it with Ayton yet? I've seen the videos of him with his freakish vertical. He looks like a demigod I would make in 2k. But to me he moves kind of skittish/jittery, stiff, and clunky when he's playing in a game. Like he's a great athlete, but not a great basketball athlete if that makes any sense. Then again, I've only watched a couple games and some highlights of him, so let me know if I'm way off.

Every time I see a Michael Porter highlight reel the more superstar potential I see. Great shot, can change direction with ease, can make those awkward shots, willing to defend & seems to have a good head on his shoulders. The thought of a core of Donovan, Rudy & Michael (And hopefully Exum if he can get healthy and stay healthy) just screams championship potential.
