I'm not going to disagree about the hype surrounding the greek freak. Dude is loaded with potential and could turn out to be a star. Hayward is already at the borderline all star level, and has shown that he has a desire to improve every season.
Would a trade between the two be interesting...
I agree with both the Cotton and Lowry ideas. I've been a fan of Lowry since Houston. I don't hate Burke, but even this year his % dropped and really nothing improved. Though he is cheap, I just want our PG spot to improve and not be the clear weakest link on our team.
I just don't see that as an upgrade to signing 4 different Dleague guys to 10 day contracts. It would be nice to see a consistent lineup with a solid back up center, and Tomic kind of crushed my hopes on that. Hence why i'm discussing other potential impact guys.
Like I said, with no Tomic we need a back up center and i'm sorry but I don't see Tibor as our savior (if he even came over). Without wasting assets, I listed some attainable ideas. If anyone has a better idea i'm waiting to hear it. Cooley is awful and not a back up in the nba.
The PG spot is...
It's the off season for the Jazz and this is my post on my thoughts/ideas about what we should do. I keep seeing everyone else post terrible trade ideas and what not. So I figured, what the hell. Everyone should get to propose one idea...
First off, I'm all for going after a max guy in...
Agree to disagree I guess but i'd say Hood>Barnes all day. Hood didn't have as much hype in college because he was playing next to Jabari Parker. Hood has been playing the underdog role, and kicking a** in doing so. Hood's ceiling is higher that Barnes, much higher.
Isn't our goal to just be the best team, and not just a version of whatever team is the best at the moment?
Look don't get me wrong, GS is the team i'm pulling for to win it this year. They are insanely fun to watch, and have been my second favorite team this year. I'm not just being biased...
Let me explain my thoughts as to why I said that. Clearly Barnes can become a better player than Ingles. I HIGHLY doubt that he ever becomes a better player than Hayward, Burks, or Hood. So if we took him he would be buried in the wing rotation. Ingles is a solid glue guy who is great for our...
Halfway through the 2014/2015 season, I would have done this trade in a heart beat. I remember a few years back the hype surrounding Barnes was crazy. "the next Kevin Durant" is what some people were saying about him. Though I still think he has room to improve (he is the 5th option in their...
I'm really excited about the return of Burks. The fact that him and Hood can compete against each other is going to be awesome. They will push each other to be better, because you know they both want to be the starter. I know both are humble though, and would come of the bench if asked. Can you...
He reminds me a bit of Bugs Bunny from the 1996 Tune Squad team. Very chippy and aggressive on defense with a good attitude.
I'd say ceiling is Michael Jordan from the tune squad, and floor is the short quick point guard from the MonStars.
Nope. Kanter was a once in a generation dumb-a** player. Trey may have his faults, but he has never come off as a guy who is entitled to something. Trey recognizes when he struggles and seems like he wants to improve. I think he just hasn't learned how to improve for the team as opposed to...
Burke.
I'm not really a fan of Burke, and would not be upset if he was traded. Though I do think he can be a good back up PG. I think he has made improvements from last year to this year. Last year he would not drive it to the basket. This year he seems more aggressive in getting into the...
