    Is Mike Conley Coming Back?

Even if impossible. I just don't think he's fit to lead us to the promised land - I'm ready to try something else even if it blows up in our face because Conley running the point won't lead us past the 2nd round.

    The Niang Dilemma

If Niang came back next season 15 lbs lighter maybe i'd be interested.

    The Niang Dilemma

All I know is that I saw Niang sub into the clippers series and threw 2 turnovers, f up a defensive assignment leading to an easy layup and miss the rim completely on a 3 point shot in the span of 2 minutes. Again... time to move on to players who will contribute in the postseason. Who gives a...

    Is Mike Conley Coming Back?

For me it's not about his exit interview demeanor, but what the ceiling is with Mike. He has proven that he will likely be out for any back to back games going forward in the regular season and we can't count on him being healthy in the playoffs. Why on earth would we risk that? Let's just rip...

    Is Mike Conley Coming Back?

Yup. Yet another reason to can DL... All we had to do was go out and grab somebody to align with Don's age to build going forward. Nope! Went all in on over the hill 30+ year olds in Bogey and Conley in the same off season. Made no sense.

    The Niang Dilemma

Niang isn't playable against championship contenders in the playoffs. Why waste his regular season minutes when we could be developing players that actually contribute on the playoffs.

    Is Mike Conley Coming Back?

Let's see.... - Mike will be 34 years old on opening tipoff. He ain't getting any younger - Has a nagging hamstring injury that won't allow him to play any back to back games or consecutive games in the playoffs - Undersized on D - Puts us in the luxary tax Think this is an easy answer - time...

    Mitchell skipping Olympics

I'll be honest I'm not sure how much leg mass he'd be able to put on. I also have twig legs and I can do squats for days without gaining hardly any mass in my legs. Sucks

I wish I could be a casual Jazz fan.

Beautifully said. It's depressing to take a step back and realize that these opportunities are so difficult to come by in a league with 30 teams. You really have to take advantage of those golden opportunities. We're not the first to blow it either. Celtics over the past 4 years, the Harden...

    NON-JAZZ NBA PLAYOFF thread

I think this season was always WCF at the minimum or bust. It was a failure. No other way to sugarcoat it

    NON-JAZZ NBA PLAYOFF thread

Agreed. I think the Bucks going all in on Holliday was worth the risk. We'll see if DL has the balls to do something similar... my guess is that we will still see Niang playing 10-20 min a game next year and I'll want to gouge my eyes out

This logic doesn't make sense. Bucks added Jrue Holliday, Tucker, and Portis. They are a much better team than last year's. Heat lost Olynek and Crowder, and to some extent yes they were bubble frauds. Lakers lost McGee, Green, and Howard. Teams change very quickly. Jazz were frauds this year...

    Jazz Offseason Plan

It's why I laugh at the jazz local media. Listening to DJ and PK.. "it's all good because we have donovan" uhhhh... homeboy is demanding a trade if we don't make the conference finals next year.

I think all of us are still learning how to best cope with these heartbreakers. Not sure what advice I have other than that this still doesn't hold a candle to game 6 in 97, 98, and especially 99 when we knew that was officially the end of the window. My outlook is to expect the worst and hope...

    Does Quin Survive?

It's the Pete Carroll effect on the players psyche after the botched Superbowl. My guess is Snyder is losing the locker room

The more I think about it I may go with Booker. He SEEMS to be a better defender

Semantics. Blowing a 3-1 lead doesn't look much better.

I mean how many WCFs do they have over the past 20 years? While we're out fishing because Snyder is a clown of a coach

    NON-JAZZ NBA PLAYOFF thread

Because their perimeter defenders aren't Niang, Bogey, Ingles, Clarkson, and a hobbled Mitchell / Conley. They're young, long, and athletic.
