37% isn't bad, but it isn't as good as guys like Huerter, Okogie, Thomas, and Okobo. Especially when he's being drafted partially because of his "great" shooting.
He is a freak athletically and has a ton of talent. His statistics his sophomore season were incredible. He significantly regressed from that in his junior and senior seasons though.
Duke has also been absolutely loaded with young talent every season and he's been the upper classman leader...
I don't care that Grayson Allen is white. I don't want the Jazz to draft him because he's 22 years old, he had mental issues on the court in college, and overall he underachieved in his career.
Look I think DL is great, but this blind trust in his pick is funny. Even in just the last two drafts he took Trey Lyles over Devin Booker and drafted Tony Bradley in front of Josh Hart and could've likely traded up a spot or two higher and taken Kuzma instead of the trade up to Bradley...
To add to this, I have to wonder about the possibility of trading down by attaching Burks' contract. His contract shouldn't be that hard to dump to a rebuilding team with cap space given that it's expiring. That could then potentially really create a lot of room. I know it likely won't happen...
Charlotte knows they can't win in the next few years with that Batum contract on their books. I think they're going into full tank mode the next couple seasons to hopefully be armed once they have substantial cap space open up again.
Here's my updated draft matrix. I tried to just use some of the more reputable NBA guys. Again, I'd like to make it my own thread, but I can't figure out how to get access to make my own thread or how many posts are needed to it.
You're wasting your time with Bradley. He sucks. Other teams know he sucks too. He has 0 trade value too. You'd almost have to compensate a team for taking him and his contract.
Jerome Robinson has skyrocketed up mock drafts. Seems there's a very small chance he's even available by the time the Jazz pick. He's pushed Troy Brown down. He's #17 on Givony's mock draft on ESPN insider and #16 on NBAdraft.net.
I wish we could know for sure if we were going to get him or not before relinquishing the rights to Favors. If I knew we were signing Jabari, I'd be great with giving up the rights to re-sign Favors and not guaranteeing Jerebko's & Udoh's contracts.
So Locke picked Musa for the Jazz in his mock with Elie Okobo, Divincenzo, & Jerome Robinson among others still on the board?
Sheesh. If the Jazz take Musa I'm going to be very disappointed. Him or Grayson Allen.
As this goes on trading down looks more and more appealing to me. Guys like Khyri...
Kawhi wants to be in LA. That's known. People are talking about the Lakers, but not as much the Clippers. With Tobias Harris and their draft picks this year they could put together a very attractive offer with Kawhi likely signing an extension. This better not thwart the potential we have with...
I'm pretty sure the Hawks are only willing to trade down if you'll take Dennis Schroeder and his contract off their hands. There's no chance the Jazz want anything to do with him.
At this point I think there's a strong argument for trading down if a team behind us in love with a prospect and wants to trade up to get him.
Someone like Khyrie Thomas, Keita Bates Diop, Jerome Robinson, Melvin Frazier, etc. will be available after #28.
Because it's a more sensible composite ranking. Your ranking includes several mock drafts of people who have no idea what they're talking about and weights those as equally as guys like Jonathan Givony's mock.
Elie Okobo as #29 consensus ranking? Come on, no way he falls that far. Aaron...
I made a Matrix of some key mock drafts I follow where I feel like the guys making them have some basketball intelligence. I wanted to make my own thread for it, but I guess I don't have privileges to start a new thread yet. I only included players who showed up in a 1st round mock. It gives a...
