Please join me in congratulating Hayward on his new baby girl!!

I'm sorry...exactly how are we going to be congratulating him? Does he read JazzFanz?

    The case for chasing Pau

I was also thinking about this today. It would be nice. Don't think it'll happen, but I'd be all over it if it did. As things stand, Gobert's agent is in Utah to extend him with the Jazz so we'll see how much we have left over if the restructure pays Rudy significantly more in the upcoming...

    Bye Bye Burke

A second round pick in 2021??? That's honestly all we could get for him? WOW.

    Joe Johnson Coming to Utah

I like the signing for all of the same reasons as people already listed. If GS wants to dump Bogut (which they supposedly want to), I'd be down for that too as a backup 5. That would be a pretty decent lil offseason for the Jazz.

I agree with what appears to be the Jazz's off season plans

Like many, I was initially not exactly excited about the Jazz NOT picking at #12, when we had been looking forward to the Draft for some time (I always do anyway). And because they traded away that pick and -- let's face it -- mailed this draft in potentially (we'll see in the years to come), we...

    George Hill coming to Utah

I just don't see how this moves the needle at all for the Jazz. Giving up a #12 for a one-year rental of a player who's pretty good is not a good move. If anything, they should've waited to agree to this until tomorrow night, when they saw who was still available at #12. Also makes me think...

LMAO.... Report: Gordon Hayward wants out, Jazz actively shopping him

We have no idea if this guy is reporting something he legitimately heard. BUT, I do think it could be true. IF it were true, and you were the Jazz, what would you do? I would make sure that trusted sources denounced the speculation in order to drive up Hayward's value. Hell, I might have even...

Stein: Utah is telling teams Hayward is unavailable.

Did he tell you this? Not to be a jerk, but you simply don't know that. However, I get the same impression and I don't think Dirk will leave Dallas. Having said that, if he is doing this to leverage the Mavs to go all in this offseason and they don't, will he leave? I do think that's a...

Stein: Utah is telling teams Hayward is unavailable.

First of all, without us knowing what exactly was offered, we are really not in a position to evaluate whether the Jazz have made the right move to unequivocally keep Hayward, which is what the article basically says. But what if it were all of Boston's Brooklyn picks, including the #3 this year...

    Move On From Hayward?

Living near Boston and being a Celtics fan too (they're my number 2 team), I have thought of this exact trade a number of times. Someone even called into a sports talk radio show out here and proposed it. And for all of the same reasons (from the Cs perspective) as the OP. I like the trade...

    One quick thing

I love that Rudy and Rodney are both driven in large part by their draft position, a la Draymond Green. I mean, they're both WAY outperforming their draft pick number and they've both been vocal about that concept driving them. I believe this bodes well for the Jazz. And it may perhaps...

    The case for Denzel Valentine

Oh, you meant that he doesn't get to the line enough. I thought when you said "rate" you meant that he didn't shoot well from the line. My bad. FWIW, I share that concern.

    The case for Denzel Valentine

He averaged 85% at the line last season.

    The case for Denzel Valentine

Assuming the Jazz keep pick #12, I think they should pick Denzel Valentine. While there are questions about his defensive prospects at the NBA level -- given his lack of lateral quickness and pure athleticism -- I don't see too many other deficiencies that would alarm me. On the positive side, I...

    Trade Deadline

I REALLY don't want to see the Burke / Lawson deal go down. Lawson is the worse player this year and Burke gives us a scoring punch off the bench. Like many of you, I'm okay with trading Burke, but not like this. Lawson is bad juju and that's like the last thing the Jazz need right now.

The Jazz are Playing Hard, Earning Their Salary - Things I am very encouraged by.....

Nice post, OP. It's easy to get down on the Jazz right now, unless we get a balanced perspective and realize that the sky isn't falling quite yet. Thanks for that.

    Jimmer Fredett is available !!!

'Tis better to be a lost soul in man's ball than a lost soul in man balls. Or so I've been told.

    Good for him. Beautiful place.

The Chapel of Black Jesus Burke

There's nothing wrong with being impressed and hopeful about what we've seen from Trey in the preseason. To be honest, it really just underscores how valuable he can be to the second unit. He might actually be the perfect fit for that role. He could go from a real liability to a terrific asset...

    Jimmer Fredett is available !!!

I was a huge Jimmer fan during all of the hype and I thought he was going to be a good NBA player. I figured he would develop into a team first guy and would stop at least being a defensive liability. I was wrong. I do wish him the best, but I concur with others in that he needs to play on some...
