So glad the Hayward **** show is over. Now that we have Donovan, I think even the most fervent Hayward fanboys can finally realize how overrated he was. I am so happy we finally have a "real" superstar on our team now.
Didn't want to start a new thread and thought this might be the best place to share this story...
I was in Los Angeles about a week and a half ago at Universal Studios City Walk and as I was passing by the Lids store, a Donovan Mitchell jersey hanging on the wall immediately caught my attention...
You're right...we all need to be objective. An objective person would definitely say that a blowout loss in the playoffs (a 48-win #5 seed team losing to a 65 win #1 seed) sets the entire league back 20 years. Definitely.
meh...we lost, but we were punting right? So it's not the end of the world...
I think we'll be more prepared and play much better in game 2. I saw things in the 2nd half that makes me believe that the Rockets aren't invincible.
My prediction...I believe one of the two things happen:
1. The only way Houston wins the series is if it happens quickly (4 or 5 games)
2. If the Jazz stretch the series to 6 or 7 games, Houston will crumble under the pressure and the Jazz pull the upset.
I saw this post on Clutch Fans in a "Who will be the primary defender on Donovan Mitchell" thread:
"Tucker stymied Teague several times in the last series who I would argue is quicker than Mitchell. He can hang with him."
LO-****ing-L. Tucker guarding Mitchell? Teague quicker than Mitchell...
MelotheJazzhelper is that "bad luck guy" for any opponent for the Jazz. So glad he's on everyone else's side. I hope he keeps posting in the Houston series...
