    Bring back Wes

Jazz send AK to NJ Nets send Devin Harris, Troy Murphy, Petro to Portland Blazers send Wes back to Jazz, Andre Miller to NJ https://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=4kmt975 Nets get Super AK. Blazers get super PG and stuff. Jazz bring back Wes plus expiring filler and save $$

    Williams.

A lot of times Deron has had to dump the ball to somebody else sooner than usual because Sloan makes him be the shooting guard in a lot of plays -- and that seems to be because the actual SG we've got is so mediocre. The Jazz need a quality SG so Deron can focus on being the great PG that he is.

    Down with cj

Confused by those confused over the different reactions to a player's performance in what are, after all, different games. Players aren't always great. Or, thankfully, they're not always crap. And at some point you ought to get used to exaggerations -- a lot of hyperbole in sports, and is to...

    Start Hayward

Yeah why not, start Hayward, kid's doing quite well and will hopefully only get better. Him or CJ actually. Hayward is more effective as an SF -- he's an NBA 3, not a 2. Same with CJ. Those two can split the 48 minutes at SF between them, whoever's doing well gets more. And the Jazz FO must...

    1/7/11: Jazz at Grizzlies, 6pm MT -- FSR-UT/KFNZ

Heck of an inbounds pass by Hayward at the end of the 3rd.

Is it okay if I post about how much posters suck when posting about how much Jazz players suck?

Entertaining thread exchange. You're too funny, viny.

    KOC had a terrible off-season

Would've been worth it to keep Matthews. Mid-level money even for what would "only" be a 15ppg SG, maybe better, who brings solid defense and hustle. Have you seen our current sorry crop of SGs? Improved up front with Jefferson but took part of that away with a logjam of mediocrity at SG. Wes...

    Break Away...

Streaky weaky. Through 20 games as a starter, Wes is averaging 19.4 points on 47% shooting, including 39% 3PT, and 85% FT. That's about as consistent shooting numbers as Deron and much better than any of our wings. He's also getting 5.7M this year, not 7.2M. It won't get to that until five...

    Portland Trailblazers (15-15) @ Utah Jazz (21-9) 12/27 7PM MST

How about that, eh? As a starter, Wes has been averaging about 20 points on 48% shooting and so his 14 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists in a road win vs the Jazz could well be a bad game for him these days -- given the recent celebrations over Hayward's 5 points, if our current SGs like Bell or...

What team will Deron Williams leave the Jazz for in free agency?

Think so too. It's the two-year Deron Williams window. The Jazz FO will likely not do anything until it's closed and it will, well, just rebuild again.

Hayward Finally doing well with a game winning performance against T-Wolves

But, but he's only 20. So young, so fragile. And it wasn't a .200 team. He'll be great.

    Portland Trailblazers (15-15) @ Utah Jazz (21-9) 12/27 7PM MST

Umm, what's Boozer got to do with it? As a starter, Wes has been averaging 20ppg, shooting 48/39/84 FG/3PT/FT, and still known for his good defense and hustle. Doing it now, and not just the idea of some prospect maybe becoming a nice 12ppg role player five years from now. Letting Wes go has...

Hayward Finally doing well with a game winning performance against T-Wolves

Oh can't wait for the next thread dedicated to Hayward's wellness when he scores 6 points in yet another game-winning performance against a .200 team.

    Okur for Hamilton?

And nobody wants Okur at what he's making either. Except perhaps for the team that has Hamilton, which also happens to desperately need size. It's a trade-off but it's not like we'd be trading Deron or even AK or heck Hayward here. The Jazz already have Jefferson and Millsap up front, with Elson...

    Okur for Hamilton?

There's Bell too in the books. And a fair number of people want to extend AK at a "discount" (which could mean anything from mid-level to the half-price of 8M maybe). But you think KOC is sticking with this good but still flawed team until Deron walks? KOC and Miller keep with this good-enough...

    Okur for Hamilton?

And yet you still miss the point. Rip will replace salary already committed to Okur. Got nohting to do with AK. Obviously I think a starting SG who can shoot is more important than a sub center who can't play defense.

    Okur for Hamilton?

It's got nothing to do with AK's contract as Hamilton would be replacing salary committed to Okur. Hamilton has played most of the season this year, Okur two games so far. Hamilton has 3 years left, Okur 2 years -- one year diff. Hamilton's not having a great year but that's also why he'd...

    Okur for Hamilton?

Okur's pretty much untradable except to a team that wants to unload a similar bad contract. The Jazz still need a consistent shooting guard. Detroit could use a big but it's basically to unload Hamilton, who's unhappy (again) in Pistonland. The Jazz can run the Harp curl over and over for...

    Okur is a cancer.

Even in limited time, Okur gave a preview of what he does worst -- sheer inability to provide any semblance of help defense. Should be lovely the rest of the season.

    Let's Trade for a 3 point shooter.

Heard that scare tactic before -- but only since Wes started playing well this season -- and it's not really credible at all.
