So who are the players we should offer max deals to?

The only way I see a studly RFA like that coming to Utah is if they sign a max offer with an opt-out clause after their first year, so they can make bank with the new salary cap jump. I'm not a CBA expert, so someone please correct me if I'm wrong with the following scenario: Let's say...

    Following potential 2015 draftees

Chad Ford's Mock draft is just plain dumb. Has Jazz taking Johnson at 12. He will not be there. Has the Jazz taking Okafor #1 if we win the lottery. I think Okafor would be fourth on Jazz board, but that's just me.

I think Porzingis will drop several spots. Winslow and Booker may not be there when the Jazz pick, as they'll probably be workout wonders.

Nets announcers are very good. Can we trade?

Plumlee just the unfortunate guy playing for Favors' ex-team.

I like Winslow in theory, but I don't see him challenging his teammate for the #1 overall pick. Was this written by his (future) agent?

I'm one of Devin's biggest admirers. Great shooter. Today he had a tough time fighting through screens and he got turned around a few times on defense, but I don't think we've seen what he can really do on offense. He seems to be relegated to catch and shoot guy for now. Wish Cal would let...

He had some nice moments in transition, but all the shooting guards in D-League do that. Playing in Motta's terrible zone, we'll never know if he can defend, either. Comp so far: CJ Miles (inconsistent lefty)

Hezonja got benched, as he cannot keep people in front of him on defense and is getting lost on screens. Sounds all too familiar. Didn't do much offensively in this game, either. Not a fan of his right now.

Mario Hezonja is playing right now. Didn't realize our boi Tomic is on the same Barcelona team.

So far, he's had some nice passes. I might have to watch him more.

Lyles is a nice weapon, but will he have NBA 3 range? His game reminds me of Michael Beasley a little.

Devin Booker is becoming my favorite player this season. I think he's definitely underrated. Would he come out early and drop to the Jazz 2nd round pick this summer? I would be okay with that.

I think Winslow is from Houston, so it's not like they have an inside edge on landing him. I'm still trying to decide if I like him better than Stanley Johnson.

Official Player Workouts for the Utah Jazz

His shooting range and length may be more like a Rasheed Wallace, but I'm not sure about his ability to attack the rim like West.

New Draft Express Mock - Exum to #6

These mock's would be better if they explained the up/down movement and backed up their opinions with something tangible. It's like a soap-opera. There are so many smokescreens that it's tough to come to any conclusions. Does Smart continue to wow Orlando, or did Exum's camp say or do...

    Aaron Gordon vs. Marcus Smart

They're both in the same tier for me right now, but Gordon's upside is better and fits a position of need. Smart's defense would be nice, but could he and Trey be a dynamic duo on the offensive end? At the end of the day, the problem with either player is the Jazz will need to start finding...
