    Shannon Brown = Dantae Jones

I agree with the analysis 100%. Brown can be a dynamic defender and can alleviate some of the PG duties for Deron. I always thought Deron played better defense against opposing SG than PG where he seems to be disinterested. Yeah he would cost double for a year since we are presently in LT range...

Great move by KOC, whats next?

I would love for that to happen but the Memo contract is now as bad as AK's. Even the Knicks wouldn't take that deal.(Remember Isaiah's gone) and they are hoping to land Melo.

Great move by KOC, whats next?

Shannon Brown should now be on KOC's radar. And since KOC has awoken from hibernation he should swindle an NBA GM into taking AK off of our roster for a good SG.

Al Jefferson to Utah? ...Mark Stein's Twitter reports

What's the alternative? Having a slowed Okur,KK2 and Fes stink up the court. Don't think of Jefferson replacing Boozer, that's what Milsap is being paid handsomely to do. This is a definite upgrade to the C position and will make up for KOC foolishly extending Okur last season.

Al Jefferson to Utah? ...Mark Stein's Twitter reports

Jefferson is a legit low post presence for a team that at this point has zero. We NEED talent on this team with all the defections and this is a good move if KOC can get it done.

    Am I Crazy?

Are these options individual or a combination because I don't think all these moves can be accomplished with just the MLE. Since there are no skilled big man left like a Brad Miller/J. O'Neal that the Jazz could entice with the MLE, I like the combo of #1 plus using Harp's TPE for...

    Shannon Brown?

I would like the Jazz to grab him too for the reason stated above but he just got off of a 2yr/$4.2M contract and will probably need around $3-$3.5M to sway him away from resigning with the lakers who would rather throw a lowball offer @ Farmar. A 3-4yr contract worth $3M would be more...

    Jazz-Sixers idea again: Iggy+EB for AK+TPE

I agree Just AK for AI would suffice. I was thinking that this would've been ideal during the season when Philly seeks to dump salary and give Turner the keys. This deal makes sense so don't hold your breath expecting the jazz FO to make this move.

Guys I'd rather have than Wesley Matthews

How bout a guy like Shannon Brown of the Lakers? We can work DWill @ the SG position, with Brown at PG in Sloan's 2PG system as he is a big PG also. And with the lakers signing Steve Blake and trying to sign Fish this will hamper their ability to resign him @ a rate like 3/$12M or 4/$15M...

Mathews signs offer sheet w/Blazers (5 yrs/34 mil)

Holy S***!!!! 5yr/$34M??? What a heck of a pay raise!!! Now have fun watching Roy 40 minutes a night.

    Jazz rebuilt too fast

Clippers??? You don't want to be in the lottery every year because they are often crapshoots and KOC has found good second round talent. What the Jazz are guilty of more than any other team in this league is not taking chances on high risk/ high reward picks and FA's so they've been stuck in the...

Mathews signs offer sheet w/Blazers (5 yrs/34 mil)

Use the MLE on someone else. The Jazz have Harp & Boozer TPE and an AK expiring contract. IF KOC cannot parlay that into 2 very good players(preferably a defensive big and a starting SG) and a serviceable player then he needs to move to the side and let a real GM handle the duties of putting...

Mathews signs offer sheet w/Blazers (5 yrs/34 mil)

I respect your viewpoint and yes $5M is not gross in relative dollars for NBA ballers especially with the figures being thrown around this free agency, but Wes Matthews taking up the full MLE with the Jazz having NO skilled big men would show the continued incompetence of the FO. Hoping that...

Mathews signs offer sheet w/Blazers (5 yrs/34 mil)

Yup, and I'm happy for him but I rather PDX have him then for the Jazz to foolishly match.

Mathews signs offer sheet w/Blazers (5 yrs/34 mil)

Matthews was an undrafted rookie who was "hungry" and definitely put in the effort on the court to get an bump in pay, but 5 years @ $5M per avg. is overpaying in terms of dollars and years. A Morrow contract is more in line to his worth.

Mathews signs offer sheet w/Blazers (5 yrs/34 mil)

Werd! He'll get paid but he'll be watching Roy from the bench. Let C.J./ Hayward man the spot and hopefully be able to get a very good player for AK expiring. Not a Hayward fan but the Jazz might as well accelerate his progression and give him minutes and let him go through the growing pains.
