Ok bros and fembros and whateveryouidentifyasbros, we are 1/3 of the way through the 20-21 season. We currently sit at 20-5, best record in the league currently, and best record for the Jazz through 25 games since the 96-97 team that went to the finals. We are rolling like none of us have seen in recent memory really, and hella fun to watch. This team is special!

We are on track for 57-58 wins at current win rate (80%) which equates to 65-66 wins in a regular season.

We have a tough stretch in February. This will define us.

But prediction time is upon us. Where do you think we end up?

I have provided a few ranges, rather than just single numbers. I have also added in the top 4 spots for the playoffs.

Please vote twice: pick a win range and what spot you think we end up in for the playoffs.

GO JAZZ!!!! FEAR THE HYDRA!!!!

I think we end up in 2nd, with 50+ wins this season, that is going 30-17 the rest of the way or better. I just think the Lakers are too strong and we will have a few rough games. I could be wrong, and my gut is telling me we could hit the 1st seed, but I think 2nd is more likely. That would mean we avoid the Lakers for 2 rounds, and hopefully a team like Denver either takes them out or beats them up for us. I think we could get to the WCF though the 2nd seed route as currently constituted. We have a path to the finals, like we haven't really had since the late 90's. CANNOT WAIT!!

Bump.

Remember you have 2 votes, one for seeding and one for wins.

I'm all in on the #1 seed.

There are rumors LAL may shut down Anthony Davis (chronic sore Achilles tendon) for a couple weeks up to a month. Barring a Utah Jazz injury I don't know how they keep up if that happens.

I’ll have to think about it.... I never had the Lakers as the #1 seed because I figured they’d load-manage. And that looks like it’ll happen—first with Davis and then it’s gotta happen with LeBron eventually.

If Conley is out for this hard stretch of games—or is out-of-sync when he returns—then it’s really easy for me to imagine us slipping down below LAL and LAC. Or even further. My gut right now says #3 seed, but I’m trying to be more bullish.

The 96-97 season was the best season for the Jazz without question. 64 wins, and the first finals appearance. I think this year we would be capable of a 60-win season in a normal year, hence 50-54 this year, as 60 wins in an 82 game season equates to 52-53 wins in this year (72 game season).

I still want 60 wins.

The LA teams have a significantly harder 2nd half schedule than we do. As long as we don't collapse to close out the 1st half, we'll probably get the 1 seed.

Oops, didn't realize this was a multiple vote thing. Fixed it. Although I didn't see the "never lose another game this season" option, so I had to go with "Win 55+".
That would be more than 55 so you are correct sir!

I think 50-54 wins the conference.

You're going to see a ton of load management in the second half.
