#1 Pick to Utah?

I honestly don't even remember why i got Chuck Norris. Way back in the day I had a Brian Urlacher avatar. I just haven't changed it since it's something I've had for years and years.

Your posts are aggressive to begin with and having CHuck as your avatar pushes it over the top.

Sometimes when you are ranting I picture you foaming at the mouth from a neglected case of Rabies pounding on your keyboard as if your playing Beethoven's fifth.

If you want to stick to the bad *** action hero might I suggest someone more approachable such as Jackie Chan.

isn't this the place to comment on the things about utah jazz? if all that is talked aboot was only what the gm did, then the utah jazz newsfeed would do just fine without us.

A few thoughts.

-First Jabari is a better player than Favors. Obviously not in defense, but lets put it like this. Jabari will have more all-star appearances than Favors.

-Worrys about our defense would be real. If we brought over Tomic we'd be great offensively, and downright offensive on defense.

-I'm not 100% they would draft Jabari. Wiggins could come here. The organization will not base their decesion on religion. Maybe if they rank both equally that that facor plays a small role, but they arent going to get Jabari because he's Mormon.

-Wiggins is a great character guy, and would fit in well here as well. Maybe even more than Jabari....(big city Chicago boy).

-I'd rather throw 3 first round picks at Cleveland, over Favors but I'd still do this trade.

-Without trading up we have no realistic shot at going anywhere. We need a cornerstone, a face of the franchise, an all-star. With Jabari or Wiggins we'd have that.

We're vastly overrating Favors.

When he's engaged, he's a decent defender. He's still not Duncan, Chandler, or hell, even Bogut.

I think we forget that at least half the time favors is asleep. 1/4 the time he's in foul trouble with terrible moving screen or poor defensive play fouls. Maybe 1/4 of the time he's actually engaged and playing smart.

Ultimately, he has tools. But he doesn't have the fire to do anything. I've about given up on him.

Kanter? I think he has the fire. He just doesn't have the tools nor the brain.

Gobert is an interesting prospect. He seemed engaged and a lil nasty. He just lacked experience and lower body strength. If Favors played with half the fire Gobert does, he would be a 20 and 15 guy.

i assume some of this post is just hyperbole but since you're busy putting the boot into kanter and favors i've gotta point out that gobert may not even be in the league in 5 years time.

No ****ing way! Those first round picks will be our best shot at acquiring All stars. I'd trade Favors but trading away future firsts would be a big mistake.

Interesting to say the least. Would I do it? Sure. It would be sad to see Favors go but like many have said, he isn't going to reach his ceiling like many have said throughout this thread. I think you have to take the chance that you are going to get a superstar here. I don't know how to feel about Parker at 1 though. I probably prefer Wiggins but whatever. If we take Parker then it will be because DL thinks he is a better player long term and he knows more than we do.

I rly like favors though....he's going to get better and better and is the anchor of the team.

U see what happens when we dont have favors...Favors has real value...and the deal we got him on is great!

wtf!

I actually have hope for tomic defensively. He's not going to be this fly-in help defensive machine, but he was a key piece in the leagues best defense last year, and seems very capable of buying into team defensive concepts. Positionally, he should do just fine.

Don't really want to give up Favors to get Parker, would probably do it for Wiggins though. I'd give up Favors for Parker and Sanders though. We got to have a rim protector, and unless Gobert is ready to play bigger minutes, then we need Favors (or Sanders).

Parker/Wiggins are all stars.

Favors has yet to develop an offensive move or show consistency.
Kanter has yet to show that he's anything more than a skilled Kris Kardashian. Does he ever actually help a team win? Or is he just a box score stuffer?

If we trade up to #1 it's obvious that we're taking Jabari. If that happens, I guarantee Philly finds a way to trade or the 2nd pick from the bucks.

This might be the first draft in which the top 2 picks go to teams with strong coaches who aren't focused on Isoball (both are from the San Antonio coaching tree and both have experience In the euro game)

I wasn't aware that #35 was a first round pick. He could be including the #23 but really the 23 isn't going to get us the #1.

So I assumed he meant the #5 and 2 futures. No ****in way

LOL.. so you're' saying "No" to #5 and our future 1st round pick... (likely to be #8 or worse next year) for the #1 pick?

What are you high on?
