What's new

12/2/13 Houston Rockets @ Utah Jazz 7 pm local

Burke plays under control and doesn't turn it over. I love how he keeps his dribble alive and keeps penetration until he gets what he wants. #stud

We need Jabari more than we need these cute wins against overrated lame *** teams. Houston will never win a championship. Harden doesn't play defense (and is a ball hog) and Howard sucks.

In the end, losing out on Jabari might be the difference between being back at square 1 (a mediocre 8-10th place team) and a legit championship contender.

I'm down with Burke and co playing well and competing. We need that. But we need Ls more than Ws this year.

Yes, but it was Houston. I don't care how bad we are, we need to punk Houston when they come to our crib. That will make the next 6 game losing streak all the sweeter!

Our point guard play has been so piss poor that Burke looks like a newer version of Stockton. If he continues playing this well -- or heaven forbid -- improves, then we are going to start winning at a 30% - 40% clip. Not even Corbin can stop it.

Agreed

Awesome game still want losses but it's sweet to see Burke Burks Hayward and Favors down the Rocket nation!!

I'm out going on a stroll down clutch fans. Out!!
Ok, had a nice stroll in clutchfans. Some fans love Harden others talk about him like we would talk about Al over the last couple years, plays no defense, takes too many shots, and is a black hole.

This was posted while Hayward was having his big first quarter

Can someone please guard this giant bieber looking *******

Lol!
It funny the difference quality lead guard play makes. Not a Jazz fan but seeing this team play w/o Burke vs. w/ Burke is almost night and day. I think the biggest difference has been allowing Hayward to play off ball. His turnovers were killing the team. Now he can just either attack or spot up.
Who you a fan of?

Who you a fan of?

Pelicans. Burke made me a fan of his as a freshman. Wished we would have drafted him instead of trading for Holiday at the expense of next years draft pick.

Having spent so many years watching Chris Paul at Wake Forest and with my then Hornets I can tell you that they play so much alike it's scary.

We prayed for months to somehow land Trey on this jazz team (see thread in Utah Jazz sub-forum).

Cannot tell you how excited I am to see him play so well, so early on.

I think the league really needs to (not that they will) look into and lock down on Harden's offensive neck flopping. He drives to the lane aggressively with his shoulder down (which is very good) but then he throws his shoulder or makes a move that looks like there's contact and then suddenly whips his head back like he just got rear ended by a train. I think his neck should sue his head for punitive damages that or his neck isn't getting hurt like it looks like so then the actors guild should sue him.
Again not that I expect them to do anything about it, heck Durant got a rule created just for him with his arm swing and throw them into the defender but they still let him do it almost every time. I want to like both of them but those things/refs can make it very hard to watch an otherwise very enjoyable player.

I hope the next game is Kanter's break out from his slump game like tonight's was Hayward's. Cause my gosh Kanter looked H O R R I D on almost every possession on both sides of the court. The only thing almost worse then his play was some of the bitching and complaining in this thread, so yes that is why I added my own bitching and complaining.

Glad somebody prayers were answered mines went unheard. Took a lot of flak in the Pelicans' forum for my support of Burke. Especially after I was critical of the draft day trade.

I honestly have been jonesing for Burke on this Jazz team since his freshman year, when it was rumoured that he'd come out in the draft. It's rare to find a point-guard who has such a good scoring instinct-- but sees the floor so well at the same time. He can be an absolute machine in the P&R-- I know Sloan would've loved him. He makes so many players on this team so much better-- and it's awesome to think about the fact that he'll be with the Jazz for at least 4 years.

Missed the game but looks like Burke did awesome and Hayward finally came out of the slump. Nice win. Now lets fix the tank.

Confession: I didn't watch the game after the 1st qtr cuz I didn't want us to win and it feels weird getting mad at your team for doing good.

I'm guessing I need to go back and watch Burke right?
