What's new

1280 zone NOW!

where was enes ranked in minutes played per game in relation to the players you listed?

Maybe if he got minutes like kyrie, klay, faried, etc then he might be on thier level production wise
Production? Enes doesn't know how to play 5-man basketball. Those guys do.

Klay thompson defense better than pippen tbh

On the worst team in the west? Yup
So the Jazz had 5 young players in the top 106 in minutes played. All 5 of them averaged 10+ field goal attempts per game (IIRC this is the first team in decades to have 5 players under 24 average 10+ field goal attempts). And we're celebrating one of these players whining about minutes? And we're stating that all 5 of them should have been in the top 20 in the league in minutes per game? It's ****ing ludicrous.

It's ****ing ludicrous.

To you it is apperently..... sorry we dont all have the same opinion as you.
Poor guy, just gonna have to deal with it i guess

1. He was out there. 27 minutes per game. Those are starter minutes. Enes's play warranted less. I can't imagine giving unwarranted minutes to players incentivizes hard to earn a greater role and more minutes very well. "Entitled".

2. Once again, unrealistic expectations. There were 16 players in the league who averaged 36 minutes per game.

3. So...Marvin broke by playing 25 minutes per game, but there was no reason not to play Enes 36?

1.
A. There were actually 18.
B. 107 players averaged 30 minutes or more. 56 averaged 33 or more. If we want Kanter to learn to be one of those players, this was the perfect year to test drive that role on THIS team where he was deserving of the bigger slice of the pie.
C. His complaint was about the group needing to grow as a whole.

2.
A. Once again, you mean 18 https://www.sportingcharts.com/nba/stats/player-minutes-per-game-leaders/2013/
B. CONTEXT!

3. Marvin broke because he has an old man's body and was playing out of position. Enes is 21 and in great health.

I think Gobert should have played more minutes and Marvin less.

I think that's what Enes meant too, not necessarily his own minutes, but Gobert's minutes. Marvin got wayyyyy too much playtime for a guy who may or may not come back.

Kyrie
Parsons
Kemba
Klay
Isaiah
Vucevic
Kawhi
Alec
Faried
Jonas

When i look at this least i see zero perfect players.... all have some weaknesses.
Too bad kanter isnt perfect

Ortg to Drtg leaders on the Jazz

Evans +5
Favors +1
Marvin 0
Jefferson -5

Pretty sure Jefferson, in the vacuum, earned those minutes.

Now, we're not in a vacuum, but 27 minutes is a healthy chunk.

Jefferson is a badass and really helped our team this year and will most likely be great for our team for years to come

You're miscounting. Deng ended up averaging only 35 minutes per game for the season, and Ryan Anderson only played 22 games. There were 98 players who played at least 41 games who averaged 30+.

Enes was not deserving of more. And listen again; his complaint was mostly about his own minutes. He was comparing his own minutes to others' in his draft class. He should let his play do the talking. It certainly wasn't demanding more minutes this season.

An entitled player doesn't drastically change his body like enes did the year before, or silently endure his DNP's and jerky rotations and scapegoating from coaches who couldn't do their jobs for 3 yrs. he isn't entitled. He works harder than most, and has more talent than most. His fault is he doesn't play well with a team, so in a year that didn't matter, why restrict his minutes and give him rotations he couldn't count on?

Entitled? No.

He's earned it now.

Great. Enes earned top-20 minutes in the NBA by being young and having killer abs. I doubt there's a professional coach who would be swayed. No point continuing this "discussion". ****.

Enes finished the season strong and was coming along defensively and DL seems to be really high on him

I think we are done here

Kanter has the most upside on this team. This guy never played organized basketball in his whole live before coming to Utah. Then he got benched and misused the next 2 years of his career. This was the first season ever he played meaningful minutes on a team.
Kanter individually had problems most of it because of his shoulder injury, after that he had some confidence problems. But he got stronger, as the season continued.
Next year when he also works on his body and gets stronger again, he will make an huge impact.

Dennis Lindsey is some genius, he exactly knows about Kanters potential.

Kanter played way too much.

I'd rather have watched Gobert-Favors, Favors-Marvin, Gobert-Marvin. At least those three try to defend.

Buh-bye Kwame Kanter.

Once again, you're in the overwhelming minority ... are you just saying this to support Corbin, or do you really believe this? If you do, you're as brain dead as Corbin.

Many NBA players who feel they don't get enough minutes usually bitch about it. Recently, the last few years Raja, Earl Watson, CJ

Saying ALL was being a little stereotypical about NBA players there are many who keep quiet and don't complain.

Discussion, sounded more like you telling everyone they are wrong about Kanter and then dismissing us.
