What's new

1280 zone NOW!

Who is banning favors?!?!!!!!? No one. You are just addicted to assuming this.

You insinuated multiple times today that Favors should be or could be moved to make room for a kanter/ gobert front court.

Only dopes like tarkanian would agree with this. The rest of the leagues fanbase would be like.....whaaaaa? Trade favors here please.

Agreed, but still think that you're being too hard on Kanter. He may, or may not develop, but I hate the idea of moving him before we've committed to trying to make it work first.

I think depending on how the draft works out kanter should be considered a trading chip to round out the roster. Favors can't cover every mans guy and if nothing else the homers HAVE to agree Kanter is a horrendous defender. I wish it would have worked out. It hasn't and won't.

Simply because of defense?

Lots of bad defenders in the nba. Kevin love comes to mind. He still pretty good.

Even kanter haters have to admit he is pretty skilled offensively.

Dennis lindsey saying kanter will be shooting threes next year.

Maybe kanter can get to kevin love levels. He is a hard working 21 year old with lots of offensive skills. Maybe a good coach maximizes that skill and he improves with age/experience, hard work, and practice.

No benefit of the doubt from you though probably

So the Jazz had 5 young players in the top 106 in minutes played. All 5 of them averaged 10+ field goal attempts per game (IIRC this is the first team in decades to have 5 players under 24 average 10+ field goal attempts). And we're celebrating one of these players whining about minutes? And we're stating that all 5 of them should have been in the top 20 in the league in minutes per game? It's ****ing ludicrous.

To you it is apperently..... sorry we dont all have the same opinion as you.
Poor guy, just gonna have to deal with it i guess

Gonna have to start calling Fish GVCs bitch tbh

Owing much too my Byzantine genes, I sense a fluctuation (mandatory star wars tribute) in Kanter's willingness to stay in SLC.
All this talk could be his way of saying "au revoir bitches, time for me to leave", by playing the evil and outspoken nasty player on the roster.
That last thing is so anti-Jazz; so against the institutional identity of this organization that he may really be trying to give that impression in order to secure a trade or sthg.

Dude....KLOVE hasn't won a thing in the NBA and I think further proves my point that offensive un athletic bigs are not optimal in today's league. I prefer defensive minded guys in the front court and athletic shooters/slashers on the wings. We have to focus on defense.

Should try to get rondo, tony allen, aaron gordon, favors, gobert for our lineup.

Championship

I hope that the front office isn't so sensitive that they base long-term, multi-million dollar decisions on if someone says something unflattering about the team. I don't personally disagree with anything that he had to say. I like the fire. I like the attitude. This team needs more of it TBH.

Another offseason getting stronger and working on his offensive game with Malone, followed by a season where his coach builds him up and let's him get the experience that he needs to develop (while hopefully offering more in terms of strategy, philosophy and defensive fundamentals.)

After a season like that, I'm perfectly happy to pass judgement and move on if it's still not working.

I agree. Thats the best thing about marcus smart.... his fire and attitude

I disagree.
Favors is a great player given his contract.
I kinda overreacted at first to his contract but he was good this season, very good.

as regards your name-calling; as I wrote in that private mesage; your trolling cannot get to me, for in real life "real dopes" like you have to ask for appointment to have a 5 minute talk with me, if ever granted, that is!

note for Kanter: read some books.

Btw for someone who listened to all the quotes, how was this omitted from your collection

Richard Jefferson on talking with Enes Kanter, "He believes that offense is more important than defense. Yes, I'm telling that to the media. Those are his own words. Not saying that he says that they're equally important. He says that in the playoffs, you need good offensive players. And I was like, you will not find a championship team that doesn't know to get stops in the last five minutes of the game."

Even Kevin Garnett has not won anything in Minny, thats just a horrbile franchise. Ohhh and even BIG-AL who is the best BIG in the NBA right now.

Kanter started saying something and then the PR guy walked by and motioned or said something to him. Locke kept asking Kanter "what?" and told him to just say it. Kanter said he started to say something he shouldn't or something. Then he said, "The five young guys should have played more." Then, like mentioned above, said if it's a rebuilding year then why not play them.

Locke started playing Devil's Advocate with him and explained what the phrase meant and asked him about Favors playing better with Kanter on the bench, how Kanter doesn't quite help the team win yet ("they're better with you off the floor"), etc. Kanter's handled it well and said that he and Favors need more time together to learn how to play with each other more/better.

The interview should be posted here soon:

Oh Thank you Lord!

Praise McGibblets!

I said before the season started that Jefferson should start and play big minutes to be that veteran presence that keeps the team together. Burks should be the punch off the bench. Today, Corbin said Jefferson was the calming veteran presence who helped them through jittery times, and Burks was a big help scoring off the bench.

Here's to many more years of Corbin making solid bball decisions like this.

What is it about 24 wins that's so hard for you to comprehend?

Production? Enes doesn't know how to play 5-man basketball. Those guys do.

Kyrie? Maybe you should actually watch the Cavs. Kyrie is terribly overrated and mostly plays for himself. He doesn't play defense at all.......
