Might as well concede #1 to the Bucks. The good news is the Bucks still play Orlando three times. 3 wins you can pencil in for Orlando. The Bucks only play the 76's once more though.

Maybe a team drafting 3rd or 4th(Orlando?) will need a PG/SG and we can trade up to get Randle while they get Exum or Smart. The big three is looking unlikely.

It's so early to talk about things like this, but Orlando really liked Smart last year... so maybe.

If the #5 pick is now considered "optimistic" then we really need to reexamine our definition of tanks.

To me, if we aren't going to tank then it's time to trade Kanter and other pieces for vets for a playoff push so we can get our asses kicked by SA, Porty, or okc.

I'm not seeing a tank job nor any effort to develop the young players. If this is going to be the last year we have Corbin, Marvin, Jefferson, and Hayward, we might as well use them for all they're worth and give them the 8th seed they so much desire.

I literally cannot think of another more infuriating jazz season. If it weren't for the 2 New York dumpster fires, I would call our franchise the most dysfunctional in the NBA. A lame duck coach who is trying out for other teams. A bunch of vets seeking contract extensions. A bunch of kids riding the bench. And an ownership team that doesn't know what the hell they're doing. They've completely abandoned the plan that they had committed to at the end of last season

As fans.... What keeps us going? The hope of obtaining another role player this draft? One that will take Hayward's place? Oh joy. Another 5 years of mid teen picks?

If you're going to tank then do it right.

Dont jump off the ledge yet. Its just over a 3rd of the way we have the most losses so far. Its not a lost cause.

How do we still have the 2nd worst record? It feels like we should be moving up right now, but thankfully it's not happening yet.

Jazz put themselves in too big of a hole to get anywhere near the playoffs. They are probably too good to be a bottom 5 team though. Let's enjoy the progress of Burke, Burks, Hayward and Favors and hope to get some assets for Williams and Jefferson. Then we can pray for a miracle in the lottery, or hope that someone falls to our pick. We still have a pretty tough schedule, and will likely get a top 8 pick or better.

Kills me a little, because Parker would look so good on this team. He is the missing piece we need. Give Wiggins to the Bucks. Give us Parker.

Start losing Jazz!

But then again, there is also alot of truth in this

We still have a pretty tough schedule.

We have played the toughest schedule in the league so far......... it only gets easier the rest of the way.

I could see the jazz pulling a Mike Shanahan--RG3 type move when the draft rolls around... Throwing the whole team at whoever has the third or fourth spot in order to move up just a couple spots... Jabari is our Rg3

Probably

Our pick
GS pick
Kanter / Burks
Next years pick
GS pick next year
Neto

And we'd probably have to take on a terrible contract as well... But anything would be worth building around Hayward Favors Burke Jabari core

That's wishful thinking.

Since the GS trade we have done nothing to suggest that we are tanking. The way this team is being managed, it looks like we are on board for a playoff push.

The time to score Jabari is now. Time to sit guys, time for injuries out of no where it keep key players out, time for trades before the trade deadline...

Then, if all else fails we attempt to trade for Jabari. By then, it might be too late.

Jabari solves literally 99 percent of our issues. Franchise player, shooter, leader, wing, creator, etc... Unfortunately, it does that for most teams drafting in the top 3.

Mixed night for the tank. Kings upset the LeBrons at home, Nets finally win. Orlando wins. At the end of the night we are tied for 3rd-6th. We were so close to being tied for 2nd/3rd though.. The tank is such a fragile thing.

We could give up all of that and get jabari.............. or just do what we should be doing and tank properly and get him without giving up any of those guys

I mean jefferson missed practice with a back injury, so its a perfect time to sit him, but he plays anyway.
Burke rolls his ankle in the game, so we could have easily had him miss the rest of the game last night and get a crucial loss, instead he comes back in very quickly and finishes the game

what the jazz are doing (trying to win, when they should be trying to lose) could be said to be honorable or respectable, but honor and respect dont bring as many championships around as talented players does.

We. Signed. John. Lucas. The. Turd.

We were tanking so hard, and now we have to pull some more tank moves. Tank you very much.
