4/16 @ Minnesota T-Wolves - L(Minny with 3rd game in 4 nights, but they got home court. Unfortunately close. I hope they're in playoff pursuit)

Some games that are tough to lose are on the schedule. Bring on the tank! 24 wins are possible!

All in all the Jazz lost some winnable games and won some that they should have lost(*cough* Heat *cough*). But the range I initially predicted was totally accurate ;)

Just found out that Nick Young was sorta injured and probably could have sat out. Bless him. I guess they probably would've ran out of players if he hadn't dressed. Good think their coach is competent to play his best player.

So the worst the Jazz can now do is a tie for 4th with Boston. Best they can do is a tie for 3rd with Orlando.

Last night was huge. Was also cool to hear some of the things that DL says they have learned:

Trey can run an NBA team

Hayward is one of the better passing wings in the league

Kanter has found consistency in scoring and rebounding

Favors has shown his ability on D and in the pick and roll

All I can remember off the top of my head.

The most important thing to take away from that interview is that DL thinks Favors and Kanter can play together.

Haters gonna hate.

And before cyrone comes and says "i said he is good just not on the level of the other core players...... how is that hating?"

Cyrone is saying that burks is at best not even on the level of the top 4 players on the worst team in the conference.
that is the same thing as saying that burks sucks imo

I guess he just sucks then. I don't know, but I just don't think his game is suited to be a starter.

But yeah, I'm just saying he isn't as good as the other 4 and won't be better than whoever we draft this year. If you want to call that "hating" so you can white knight Alec Burks, then cool, whatever makes you feel better about yourself.

They're still really young. I do have a lot of hope in them in the long run. Favors played the C position for the first time this year. Kanter's shooting is really coming along well. I do wanna see him thinning down a bit, be lighter on his feet and play that stretch 4 position if possible.

I can't go on record saying I agree with Cy, as I haven seen his whole body of work on Burks, but to an extent I agree. I think he could be a decent starter somewhere. I think his absolute ceiling is a Wesley Mathews caliber but I think more realistically be a Nick Young. I think Burks has a few key things where he really excels, but overall versatility I would take Hayward. If, fingers crossed, we land a Jabari or Wiggins, then I think what Burks brings to the table is, at best, redundant. Hayward, on the other hand, in my opinion, would pretty conplementary. I prefer to keep all of Burke, Hayward, Favors and Kanter and let the chips fall where they will with the other guys.

Alec is Black, Monica...

He could be like Jamaal Crawford doe. 6th man of the decade

His shot will never be on Crawford's level though. Burks isn't a bad shooter by any means, but he doesn't have that streak potential that a Crawford-type has. His streaky-ness lies in "Will I make this ridiculously hard layup that no one should ever attempt or will I miss it?"

Lol.
You didnt say burks isnt as good as the other 4. You said burks isnt even on thier level.

example.
1. Favors
2. Hayward
3. Burke
4. Hayward.

Burks.

Straight hatin yo.

You might be retarded tbh

Yeah, how dumb of me to say that a rookie starter who did fairly well isn't as good as our 6th man who is in his 3rd and was just now able to get regular minutes.

I might be retarded, but probably I just have common sense and don't get overly excited about tricky layups.

I have no problem with someone saying that they think hayward, favors, kanter, and burke are all better than Alec.

But i feel that only a retard would not even put him on thier level..... as if there is some huge gap in talent between your core 4 and Burks.

Also, im talking about who is better right now not who will be better in the future.

Watching the games this year it looked like alec was better than rookie trey (as he should be) and definately looked like he was at least on treys level.

Nah, Alec just isn't on the other 4's level. He is good though, but not a starter.

This post is also funny because you say burks is good...... but not on the other guys level.

Surprised our team was not better than last place in the west if a good player on our team is not even on the same level as 4 other players.

Those 4 other guys were basically all stars.

Corbin is worse than i thought

Well all those players are under 24 years of age and it was their 1st year getting major minutes and leading a team. Our talent was better than our record because of Age/Lack of Talented Prime Vets/Coaching.

Burks isn't on the level of Hayward/Favors/Kanter/Burke. Sorry the truth hurts. Burks is the most replaceable player of the 5. Just go out and find a good scorer, there are a lot in the NBA. None will probably be as good as making fancy layups, but they will be about the same level of playing basketball.

*Again, not saying Burks sucks, not at all. Just don't think he is as good as the other guys.
