to go 15-2 at any point in any season is remarkable. that's the pace of the 1995-96 chicago bulls. the jazz are not a tier 1 team, and systemic problems like losing on the road a bunch don't disappear suddenly after one (technically) successful road trip. hopefully expectations will settle after they get clobbered by a team like the wolves in minnesota or the sixers in philadelphia because this team is not on the same level as the spurs, mavs, or lakers, and to expect them to perform as if they are is a recipe for anger and sadness

i mean i'd put oklahoma city ahead of utah too. this is a seed 4-6 team folks, just like last year and the year before that and the year before that and the year before that

Sad but true. That, and the Jazz have a history of underperforming against teams they "should" beat.

Also, does not a weak schedule mean a much tougher schedule later?

This time it mostly means that we have had a very tough schedule so far. According to Hollinger`s stats, only Chicago of the top teams have had a tougher schedule than we have. As for your other point, we have been beating the weaker teams this year, with the exception of GS away and at home to Phoenix. Keeping up this would elevate us into the top tier, but 15-2 is obviously a very long shot indeed - but not impossible.

4-1 so far.

Long layoff. Good thing Portland is a slow team or else the Jazz could be run out of the building. Vs. Portland, @ Clippers, and @ Portland back to back, Vs. Memphis.

Surely 4-0 is realistic.
 
Porty could give us some issues just as Minny did. I'm still hesitant to be confident over these so-called "chump" teams.

Agreed. Plus maybe I have no empirical evidence to prove it, but I don't like this team after a long layover. I honestly wish they'd have a game tomorrow to keep in their groove, but the schedule is what it is.

Wasn't the Hornets game last week right after the longest layoff we have had all season to that point?

I agree. I hate the fact that they have this much time off until they pay again. Plus it just give the Blazers time to heal up the injured core they have.
