So one of those typical only in USA cases...what a moron. Sees drunk woman on his porch and grabs his gun instead of phone or offering help. Had that happened in Europe she would have been invited to house and offered rest or help. ( it appears she crashed her car earlier).

did you know in europa somebody had to pay damages to a burglar who was on a roof and fell throught the roof. so the home owner had to pay the burglar damages to his ehalth.

another story is this bruglar got shot. and now is on disablity. but the man who shot him had to pay lots of damages.

Americans do not deserve guns. They are too far violent. Maybe not outlaw entire country but by state or county will work best. Only peaceful people should have right to gun far too many school shootings because NRA ignores this simple thing.

No no, you've got it all wrong. The solution for gun violence in schools is obvious . . . more guns in schools. Geez, why would anyone have a hard time understanding that?

To put a real dent into number of deaths in the us we should ban cars--walking is the safest form of transportation.

Assuming that it was even possible to magically ban guns and disarm the US population without a revolution; what would be the net effect on violent crime? On accident deaths? Suicides?

Of course if there aren't any firearms, gun related accidental deaths would be stopped.

I believe some suicides could be prevented- it takes more effort that OD on something or cut your wrists or something then if you have ready access to a firearm.

I believe that violent crime would increase-a young man with ill-intentions now knows that the grandma alone in that house will not have any means to fight back. He can do what ever he wants. Women who have had an abusive boyfriend (google War Machine) would have few options.

The interesting thing to me would the Police be armed?
 
I think this incident speaks more to American's general paranoia and the non-stop perpetuation of our "fear culture" (specifically white, middle class Americans) than it does our love affair with guns.

I'm fairly left of center politically and I can't imagine an acceptable scenario in this country where a person should not be allowed to have a gun in their homes for self-protection.

Cars kill too.

The big difference is that a car was not created to kill.... that isn't a cars purpose.

Guns are made for killing. That is why they exist.

I think they happen because there are lots of targets at schools and killing kids gets the shooter more publicity.

If there were guns allowed in schools then I think that those mass shootings would still happen..... plus there would probably be a few more shootings at the schools too due to accidents and what not

ok then explain to me why universities and college that allow guns on campus have never. had a mass shooting. or shopping malls. or movie theathers.

I said that children get the shooter more publicity. I already explained that. And children are easier to kill.

Also, there have been mass shootings at malls and movie theaters recently. (One was at the trolley square mall here in slc and then there was the movie theater with the batman guy)
 
It just sickens me that retards wanna take away guns from law abiding citizen.
blame violent crimes on guns, not on people.

so making ameirca 1 whole gun free continent will not stop it :D.

they are just dancing on the graves of the victims to push through their stupid agenda.
