1st impression of Hayward playing with the Elite USA players

Hayward's game meshed in easily with all the stars from the other teams. What he does for the Jazz ...score, rebound and pass the ball worked and fit in nicely with the better talent. It looked like Hayward could have done more for the Blue team if they passed and moved the ball as crisply as the White team did.It looked like the guys *on the bubble* were trying to make an impression. The #1 thing was Hayward played and acted like he belonged.

Another thing ,just like Gobert .....Hayward has muscled up since the end of the season.Hopefully he retains his speed and agility without any loss of quickness.Hayward didn't hurt his chances to make Team USA.

basically saying hayward meshed well with elite players proves that he is a 3rd option.

Thought he looked great.

- He muscled up... (Locke said he will play some 4 this year)
- Seemed crisper handling the ball
- Seemed relaxed now that the contract over. That contract I think was a big crap he had to take...it's over..

I feel bad for him on all the crap he has taken from Jazz Media / Fans on his contract.
It's America, good for him.

With cap rising and new TV deal, in 2 years his deal will mean not much. (That is why he was pushing for Max)

Now, if he makes TeamUSA due to Paul's injury, he will get ragged on for that.....

Rough time for the 63 million dollar man :)

My first impression is that Hayward looked huge; he's not a little kid anymore. My second impression is he is just not as good as the other guys out there and he missed a couple wide open shots. He was getting those wide open looks because his defender would leave him to help against some of the better offensive scorers. My overall impression is Hayward is trying to improve, but he just will not be a superstar worthy of the max contract he received.

I'd rather read first impression of a baby on tasting sucker.

Why cannot fans handle a few games before concluding? Must be too much pressure in life without good physical routine release valve. Cling to every Jazz twerk instead.

Looks good, def looks like he belongs.
Nothing to change your previous opinion of him...if you liked him, you still do..If you didnt, you still dont..and there are things to back up both opinions.

I only saw part of the 1st and the 2nd quarter.

I saw Hayward drive, get bumped and not lose control. He finished two plays that I don't think could have last year.

His lateral quickness was still poor versus the great athletes on team USA but his strength and how he anticipated made it not a major problem.

His 3 pt shot was way off.

When he touched the ball- the offense flowed and the ball moved to good spots.

My only real disappointment was his form on his 3 pt shots.

Yep they were playing off him and clogging the post which is why Hayward just couldn't pump the ball inside to Plumlee for a few easy scores in a row. Oh, wait, that isn't what happened at all. . .

Looks a lot bigger.

David Locke said he's up to 230...so I guess he wasn't being lazy and he was working out. Shocker.

Hayward at the 4 this season?...LOL. Can't shoot well enough to spread the floor as a stretch-4, has no post game whatsoever, yeah that experiment should end pretty quickly.
