This poll is for your 1st place vote. Pick the sandwich group you feel is the best. You can not vote for yourself

Would also be cool if mods colton could sticky these threads?

Close battle for me between Siro and Spycam. I gave Spycam the edge in the end because I liked his variety, not that Siro's didnt have variety, but the inclusion of a breakfast sandwich, leftovers/**** out of the fridge sandwich, and a seafood sandwich sealed it for me.

It's between LazyD and Cy for me. LazyD's last pick was a throwaway, and I'm not that big into ice cream sandwiches, so I'll go with Cy.

Cucumber sandwiches are probably refreshing though. I do love cucumbers on sandwiches.

I had to vote for Siro. The lamb doner is straight up probably the best sandwich in the competition and the Italian hero while not as fancy is another of my favorites. And while I haven't had one in a while there was a time when I lived close to an awesome falafel place so I've got to give that a nod as well. The Cuban, while I thought was a bit of a reach for his first round pick, is a solid bench choice. Also, I've never had a ribeye steak banh mi, but it looked absolutely amazing.

Siro definitely has the fancy sandwich appeal. All his sandwiches are stuff you really have to go out and get, doesnt have anything the average person can make at home. Everyone else went for at least one of those sandwiches. It's a positive and negative, but I think that is why I didnt vote him #1.

Interesting, I hadn't thought about things in those terms at all. It was more of a "What would I most like to eat" decision. :-)

Yeah, that mostly how I thought about it, but there is also some kind of comfort in the cheap/easy to make sandwiches, I guess a familiarity that gives them value.

Saint Cy of JFC is it something like 3 pts for each first place vote, 2 pts for each second place vote, and 1 pt for each third place vote?

Both the Cuban and the Italian hero are popular sandwiches you can find in most typical sandwich places. Also you can easily make the hero at home.

Dont Cuban's generally have meat that is cured in a specific way to be part of a Cuban sandwich?

I'm not sure. There's probably an authentic way of doing it. But many sandwich places sell a Cuban with some sort of pork, ham, Swiss, pickles, and mustard. 3 of my 5 are "ethnic", so you have to go to a specialized place. But Cubans and Heroes are normal American sandwiches.

White Chocolate gets my vote for first place: grilled cheese, pulled pork and Italian beef are probably 3 of my favorite all-around sandwiches..

I am going to pretend Wes chose hot ham an cheese instead BLT an vote him.

Basic hot ham is way better then Italian hero an many other selections on here. Egg salad Sammy? Come on Fish. Chicken salad, c'mon White. I can see the appeal but are who ever orders one or even sells?

Egg salad Sammy? Come on Fish.

Hell, I had egg salad just a couple days ago with a cup of tomato soup. Lot's of Tabasco on the egg salad. I chose Fish for exactly this reason. All sandwiches that I have had and can make and thoroughly enjoy when I eat them. There are others listed that are good but the genius of picking the PB&J put me over the top. Nothing better than a PB&J, plain potato chips and a big glass of milk. Pure genius.
