1st Round NBA Playoffs (Game #1 GT): Jazz at Suprs, Sunday April 29th 2012, 11:00 AM MDT (WTF)

I hate when announcers go nuts and scream "what a great play" when Parker took three obvious steps and traveled against Kanter. Kanter stopped playing defense after the second step. Kanter needs to learn the star rules. If your a star the rules don't apply to you.

Why did Favors come out? Did Tyrone watch the 1st half? Maaaaannn...sometimes it's hard to be a fan of this team.

I love that favors and the big lineup comes in when the Spurs are up 13+. what a joke. Favors should get 35 mins a game, not 20-25.

One of the main reasons that we struggled in the 2nd half, 18 FT attempts for the Spurs. Only had 6 made FTs in the 1st half.

Harris 2 assists and 5 turnovers. Yup, that's our starting point guard!

I feel like the jazz played pretty good.... i mean those of us who were honest with ourselves knew going in that the spurs are better than us, have more experience, have the home court advantage and have the refs on thier side.

The only thing surprising about this game to me was that we kept it so close for so long.

I only hope that the "playoff experience more valuable than draft pick guys" are right that it helps the team get better by getting thier asses kicked in the 1st round.

The last play is typical of our game. Duncan sets a moving screen and he keeps moving to push Harris beyond the three point line straight out from the basket. Parker curls around the screen and AL is only about five feet away. AL is already beaten, but Parker just keeps curling around the screen and AL doesn't even attempt to go after him. Parker now has the ball where he began the play and is wide open by eight to ten feet. Harris is caught in Duncan's perpetual moving screen and Al is waiting for Harris to recover. Brother!

I was only able to catch the 4th quarter. From what I saw though, I agree. There were times where we could have cut it to 7 or 6 but we just didn't get shots to fall. Millsap missed that shot in the paint on a fast break, hayward airballs a 3, and the turnovers were killer. With 2 minutes left, there was a loose ball...favors didn't try to get it and so the spurs got the ball back. What's the deal with that?

Agreed. I just hope that their serious deficiencies keep getting shown up to the Jazz management. Harris is no PG and Big Al gives away more than he gets. And Howard can go. And can you just make sure that Bonner gets no open looks? Krikey.

Ya, less howard and more burks and more favors would help our chances i think.
Harris needs to play much better.... he got us off to a very good start and then fell apart.

One good thing corbin did was not play raja bell.

I don't understand Carroll not getting the start. I really don't get it. That's the lineup the Jazz have been playing with, that's the lineup that has chemistry, and frankly, Howard is out of sync and right now Carroll is a better player.
