1st Round NBA Playoffs (Game #1 GT): Jazz at Suprs, Sunday April 29th 2012, 11:00 AM MDT (WTF)

Let me get this straight:
Ty changing starting line up for Howard = Stupid
Pop changing starting line up for Diaw = Genius

Why don't people lose their excuse and just say I hate Ty and always have and always will, I didn't like Howard starting thought his offense could be used off the bench but I understand the logic behind it. Playoff experience, rebounding and while on Dallas played well against the Spurs, also with the Jazz played better starting then off the bench.
Both coaches made line up changes Pop's looks like a genius cause it worked.

Turnovers absolutely killed the Jazz in the 2nd half that combined with Harris having a poor game and Howard not contributing anything doomed the Jazz. Against the Spurs unless somebody has a out of this world game the Jazz can't afford to have one let a lone 2 no shows, also Kanter even though he's a rookie has to contribute something off the bench.

I do not think that is the problem. It is the result those changes got. If the the Jazz had won they would be lauding Tys praises for the changes he made.

Yup, that's about it. Genius coaches make changes that work because they know what they are doing. Pops has four rings to prove it. Other coaches, not so much.

Not every decision always works out, example would be last year Pop and getting beat my the Grizz in how he managed the big 3 and if you look at fans of the Spurs they still complain about Pop and his management/use of players. Then so did Jazz fans about Sloan and Lakers "fans" about Jackson.

No, not every decision works out. I can understand Ty's decision. However, for guys with a track record of success like Pops it just a simple fact that their decisions must work out better than most coaches or else they would not have the rings.

Pops is proven, Corbin is not. Pops made another good decision that did work and Ty's did not work out. The thing that worries me about Howard, and therefore Ty's decision to start is the guy is so selfish he is always trying to get his own. And that is how it worked out yesterday.

You make it sound like this is a game of Chess and they both have equal pieces.

It's more like Pop has 2 Queens at his disposal and a handful of Knights,Bishops, and Rooks. Corbin just has a bunch of Rooks,Knights, and Bishop and a handful of Pawns.

Few positives: we were in this game for the most part until mid 4th with:
- lousy rotations
- Harris' offense being non-factor
- Jefferson struggling even to get to his spots, let alone his defense which wasn't that bad lately

If stars somehow align properly we might take away couple of games but we need to stop looking up on them and start playing tough Jazz ball.

Don't know why, but kinda chuckled at this.
