2007 Utah Jazz vs 2017 Utah Jazz

I like the '17 team more, but I think the '07 team would get the best of our current team. D-will wins the PG match up, Boozer wins the PF match up, and Rudy would have a REALLY hard time guarding Memo out on the 3 the whole game.

2017 but Memo would hurt the rim protection with his perimeter game so not that close like you would think.

I post, therefore I am.

You put Favors on Memo and Gobert on Boozer.

2017 and not even close.

Remember how the Lakers and Spurs simply dominated the Jazz because of length? 2017 have more length at every position than those teams.

Boozer won't do **** against Gobert and pull his ******* and miss half the games.

Favors shuts down Memo.

Oh and Favors and Gobert get off in the paint like Anna Nicole Smith in a nursing home.

Also never forget Ronnie Brewer just sittin' in no man's land all day with nobody guarding him because he can't shoot for ****. Easy to shut down DWill when you can just double him for eternity.

Meanwhile Rodney Hood, Hayward, Hill, Joe Johnson shoot about 4000 free throws because of Jerry ball.

And the best defender on the 07 team spends his time reading Russian pulp fiction novels and planning out a full back tattoo of the Hawaiian punch guy.

I don't know. I want to say this team would win for the same reason we couldn't beat the Lakers in 08,09 and 2010. SIZE.

Come on, really?

2017 hands down, son. It ain't even a question.

Who's got home court advantage? Because it felt like the 07 team wouldn't win any road games but would beat literally anyone at home.

With a healthy Favors, 2017 without a question. Boozer would probably feign injury after Gobert's 3rd block.

If both teams are completely healthy the 2017 team would probably have the edge just because of matchups. Rudy would be guarding Booz with a tremendous length advantage and the 2017 Jazz would switch on every D-Will/Memo pick and pop. 2017 team also has more depth on it's bench. I don't think a 7 game series would be a blow out though. The 2007 team was extremely talented offensively. 2017 probably wins in 6 or 7.

If Lamar Odom owned Boozer, I would be interested in seeing how well he does against Rudy.

Our current squad is the least flawed team we've had since the finals (who were also flawed but harder to compare). Our biggest problem is lacking someone with a real attitude or nastiness.
