2011 draft.....

Who do you think the best wing is in this draft? A thin scorer that plays bad D (Thompson), a pure off-ball threat with a nice body but a questionable brain and D (Hamilton), a great athlete with great size and works hard but isn't very skilled at offense (Singleton), or another thin scorer with questionable D and a questionable shot (Burks)? Sweet draft.

Not many wings in this draft, obviously. I never said there were. I was simply stating that taking Kanter doesn't fill our need. That said, I would take him 3. I'm just having a hard time taking somebody at 3 when we have holes in other places, even though I'm convinced it's the right move.

Derrick Williams is really the only player I would be ecstatic with. I think we need to do what is necessary to move up to the 2 spot and get us a better player that fills a need. The best of both worlds.

Unfortunately, I think the Wolves are going to get much better offers for #2 than we can offer. And extra unfortunately, I think Williams will go #1 and Cavs will then take Knight at #4.

I WANT WILLIAMS!!!

Hey, don't stress. There's a saying in Turkey: "with just words, even the cheese ship doesnt move on." Namaste.

Props to Kanter for actually working out. If the medical records check out then this has to be the guy. If we are in love with Knight then we have to trade down to get him. JMO.

During the Draft combine broadcast they mentioned a different comparison for Kanter. Al Horford. I think Horford has more lift and probably more lateral quickness. But this is by far the best comparison I have seen or heard about Kanter. They are close the same size and they a similar offensive style. A lot of Horford's value is on his defensive abilities. I question if Kanter can develop that part of his game to a high enough level.

My question to you guys is this: If Irving and Knight are both available at #3, why is Irving better?

My question to you guys is this: If Irving and Knight are both available at #3, why is Irving better?

Better shooter, better playmaker, better passer, better ball handling skills, is a true point guard while Knight is a combo guard....etc. etc. Basically Irving is a lot better than Knight as of right now.

Knight is taller, bigger, and younger.

17 pts, 4 rebs, 4 assists, 3.2 to, 1.33 as/to, 0.7 stl, 42% fg, 37% 3pt, 80% ft, 1.28 pps
17 pts, 3 rebs, 4 assists, 2.5 to, 1.74 as/to, 1.5 stl, 53% fg, 46% 3pt, 90% ft, 1.85 pps

Other than shooting percentages, they are essentially the same player. I wonder what Irving's shooting percentages would be if he played a whole season (for example, the ACC schedule instead of a weaker OOC schedule). I don't know. I am not as sold on Irving as everyone else.

According to stats, he isn't a better playmaker, passer, ball handler. All Irving has is a better shooter. And Irving put his amazing stats against much, much weaker competition. If I am Cleveland, I definitely take Williams #1 and Knight #4.

Why is Irving so much better than Knight?

I actually agree a lot with this. I don't know if it's Kanter, Williams, Knight etc but I have a feeling that looking back someone other than Irving will be the best player from this draft class. I think at best he's Andre Miller.

If Harrison Barnes had entered the draft and the Jazz had the choice of Derrick Wiliams or Barnes, who would you take?

Also, personally, I'd be more okay with Kanter being a stud on another team opposed to the Jazz drafting him and becoming a bust.
