2011 draft.....

Besides, the last time we tried to build around a PG it ended up being a disaster.

Lets try and build around what championship teams do, bigtime scorers from the SF/SG position. Harris is good enough, for now.

But CJ, AK, Raja, and Hayward couldn't even score in the D-league let alone the NBA right now...
 
I like moving up to number two and I like that pick. The number twelve pick is a good marketing move so I expect them to do it, but I don't think it's a very good basketball move.
 
I actually would be fine if the Jazz took Jimmer with their 2nd lottery pick if they get a player like Derrick Williams with the NJ pick. He would be Raja Bell's replacement off the bench.

Watched Jimmer last night... thanks but no thanks. Actually, just no thanks. Someone again explain to me how he's not just another Adam Morrison? I saw a little guy who loves to chuck and can't guard a lick.

Unfortunately, Kemba Walker appears to be playing his way up the lottery, out of our reach

I don't think Walker will go higher than 6. If Williams and Barnes are gone, I will take a chance on Walker or Knight instead of Kanter or Vesley or Jonas......
 
I just hope we get some luck and into the top three pic. This team is going to go to have another makeover after the season so i would bet there is going to be some trades in the draft. Could we see Paul and cj gone at draft time? wonder what we could get for paul in the draft. I am just saying that because we got another big guy coming over and favors is going to steal minutes away. Jazz know this and pauls not going to be happy with it.
 
I wonder what Millsap's value is around the league. What wing player could they likely trade him for?
 
SF #6 and PG #12

#6 Jan Vesely or Perry Jones

#12 Jimmer Fredette or Brandon Knight

Simple as that.

Would be a GREAT draft for the Jazz.
 
i'm probably alone but sign me up on the perry jones bandwagon. he didnt have a monster freshman yr and will probably slide but his potential is through the roof. 6'11 SF that could wreak havoc with matchup problems and can play/guard multiple positions. if he is still on the board when the jazz pick i'd take him based on potential alone.

i haven't really seen much of this burks cat but he seems intriguing in terms of how he could fit with the jazz/his skill set. has ideal size for a SG and is a scorer....he'd be someone to look at with their 2nd lotto pick.
 
Man, if the Jazz draft Derrick Williams and then give him a #8 jersey I won't have to get rid of mine! That's it then, this MUST BE DONE!
 
Hmm. If the Jazz do remain with the 6th pick then it really may be between Vesely and P. Jones. Vesely appears to play with more attitude. But just too unsure right now. Have to wait for combine and workouts.

And before that the Jazz will know the actual draft order so hopefully we'll be deciding between D.Williams and Barnes.
 
Despite Williams' breakout game, I still prefer Barnes because he has a true position in the NBA. Having said that, I will be happy with either one.
