2011 draft.....

I think so too. Would just have to live with it, no way you can move up from 12 to 7 without giving a huge piece. Might be enough to push Burks or Leonard down to 12 though.

I don't think the Jazz should really try to trade up to #7 in the draft to get Fredette. Seriously. No.

Brandon Knight's FG% over 38 games (red line is season average):

Just a bit of useless information.

I've heard it said (and I'm not claiming that any of you have said it) that Knight's shooting improved throughout the season. If that is true (and it might be true) it was not reflected in his stats.

Ok now let's look at Kanter's graph... oh wait...

I don't have all his individual game stats, but his career average FG% (including the 2008 European U16 championships, 2008 European U18 championships, 08-09 Turkey, 08-09 Euroleague, 2009 European U18 championships, and the Nike Hoops Summit) is .606 (219-361). I can look into breaking it down into some sort of graph so that we can see the trajectory.

Also, his rebounding average for the above games was 16.9 rebounds / 35 minutes. In his latest set of games (the 9-game U18 European Championship) he averaged 20.2 rebounds / 35 minutes.

It's Europe, but still, not too shabby.

These are the latest games he has played. I do not have individual game stats for the games he played prior to this in High School, in the 2008 European U16 championships (66 FG% avg [62-94]), and in the 2008 European U18 championships (65.4 FG% avg [70-107]).

I have no problem taking Jimmer at 12. Jazz need scoring off the bench and he certainly can score. It seems like he isn't going to be there. I really don't think there is much of a difference between the Kemba, Jimmer and Knight. The gap between Irving isn't as big as people think but Irving is the better all around player at this stage of his career.

I read that and immediately found it funny that Calipari has compared Kanter to Karl and Knight to John. Coach Cal must want to make sure the Jazz pick between these two.

Nah. He's a good guy that is the go-to villain in cbb. I won't debate it though .. always winds up bad .. since only about 1% feel the way I do.

He is pretty slimy IMO. The premier coach for "one and dones."

How does that make him slimy? Isn't that being a great recruiter.

Here we go with facts again, I know I'll be sorry;
- John Wall, Brandon Knight, Anthony Davis, Doron Lamb, Enes Kanter ............ etc, ect. are high integrity guys, go to class, get the grades, work hard, represent their school very well. He's not recruiting the prima donna trouble makers .. he passes on those. This is the wrong forum though, so I'll stop there.

There have been NCAA investigations that have followed him throughout his career in different programs. Where there is smoke, there is usually fire. Being a fan of UK, you might be biased on this issue.

By my count, that's 18 games over 3 years, and 0 since April 2010.

I am biased, I admit that. Hell, I'll even admit that I hated him and called him a cheater before he came to UK. All I have seen since he's been here for two years, however, is being the best recruiter of all time, fantastic charity work, recruiting the high character kids, being a great role model for them, working their asses off, preparing them for life in the NBA, and winning.

The two 'charges against him' are really silly. Rose was in Michigan taking an SAT (or was he??), hadn't even stepped foot on the Memphis campus, was cleared to play by the NCAA clearinghouse, was never proven to had done anything wrong, and Calipari somehow arranged for him to cheat on his SAT? Biased or not, I don't buy that.

Camby took money and after major investigations, Cal was FORMALLY cleared by the NCAA. Did he know about it? Who knows? NCAA says no, but ..

Now, in the past couple years Jim Calhoun has been slapped, Pearl fired .. Tressel .. I can tell you that Calipari is every reporters HOMERUN. He's under the microscope every minute of every day. Sorry, I said I was done. I REALLY don't want to talk UK here.

You forgot to mention the Bledsoe saga. Cal is as slimy as Calhoun or even Peal. Why is it that these situations happen under him yet other good coaches don't have a similar history? Like I said, when there is smoke, there is usually fire.
