2014-15 Media Dayzz

3 days to media days...

Gordon Hayward has had 3 different Headcoaches while with the Utah Jazz.

In 3 seasons with the Austin Toros Quin Snyder had a .600 winning percentage. Quin has been an assistant coach for 3 nba teams. Can you name them? Quin played in 3 Final Fours. He signed a 3 year contract with the Jazz on June 6. Quins 3rd game as Headcoach will be against the Suns and coach Hornaceck. Last season the jazz earned win#3 against the suns on November 30th. In that game Alec Burks had 3 rebounds, but his 14 points and team high 5 assists were key to the victory. Alec Started 12 games last season(12 career starts) the jazz won just 3 of those games. Alec Burks averaged nearly 3 points more at home than on the road.

***some perspective on coaching...jerry Sloan has a career winning percentage of .603. His winning percentage for a season with the jazz only ended blow .600 in 8 out of 23 seasons, and remember he lost his first playoff series 0-3.

San Antonio, Atlanta and uh, CSKA?

~ Nope. 1 out of 3.

More #3

In Enes Kanters third season he ranked third on the jazz in blocks, and blocked 3 or more shots in a game 3 times. He had three games with over 15 rebounds, and scored 25 points in 3 games. Interestingly, Enes' numbers are nearly identical at home and on the road, but he averaged 3 more points a game in losses and 3 more rebounds per game after the all star break...when his playing time increased. It will be interesting to see if Enes will move to the outside to shoot more threes. He is a career .333 percent three point shooter, he has attempted 3 in his career.

First news of the day is old news. 1280 replaying a portion of the Dennis O Lindsey interview from Friday.

DOL: The offense is based on quick ball movement. The ball moves faster when it is passed than with your feet. The goal is to get the ball to the open guy. If the ball sticks the player will be on the bench.

Bring it on. I am so ready.

Thank god that hack Bill Oram is gone because he would've tried to make jokes about Trey instead of focusing on basketball. The only one I'm worried about from sullying media day with BS questions about that is Jody G. Thank god for Falk and Jones because they're coverage is awesome.

Jody is awesome! That said, I'm sure the Jazz PR folks will tell everyone to focus on basketball only with Trey.

Hahaha minutes after I post, I see Falk tweets out quotes from Trey's dad and agent. I take it back. Add one more to the jabroni list. What a clown for calling them about a comment on it. Yes it's a peculiar instance but ultimately meaningless in terms of the Jazz. The Trib should be embarrassed.

This alone is enough to make someone get excited about the new Jazz.

Will be interesting to see how our bigs adapt to that, none have been exactly stellar at passing.
