What's new

2014 College Football

Didn't think KSU could pull it off, but they did

Baylor/WVU a tight one

I think Okie State is a bit overrated this season, but they've been terrific in the past and have won all the games they should have so far this season. Who knows what to expect, but I could see TCU making it tough for OSU's young quarterback.

After seeing the meltdown on cougarboard and Duck's post, what happens to Provo if Utah wins? lol.
I for one won't care. I don't live in provo though.

I imagine provo will survive

Man. Rough year for BYU. Injuries suck when you lack depth. Now you guys know how Utah fan felt the last two years.

That sucks. That being said, it was an exciting game. I wish Utah had receivers who could catch like yours. We'd be a top 10 team right now.like I said, injuries suck. This feels like after the 54-10 game. I don't even feel right mocking you guys.

At least you'll have Taysom another year.

Stewart has actually played fairly well in Taysom's place. Obviously, turnovers killed BYU tonight but that defense is still bad. Even if I'd known Taysom would be out for most of the year, if you would have told me that BYU was gonna lose 3 games this year, I woulda laughed in your face. If BYU loses 1 or 2 more games, is Bronco safe?

I heard the announcers last night say byu has had 23 ankle injuries. That is crazy.

They were down to thier 5th string running back last night and missing 3 starting defensive backs.

Might be the most injured team in the country

They should change the entrance to their practice facility.

No, they just need to start living right in and off the field tbh

That Carter guy is very quick. Averaged 12 yards/carry. I don't know how a guy like that doesn't figure in somewhere normally. Run him out of the slot occasionally or something. He hits the hole so fast.

I actually think the depth has looked really good overall. I think BYU is a little weaker when their depth plays, but not much. Those backup LBers are just as good as Fua or Bronson(who needs to go back to D-Line because he gets murdered in space most of the time). Jordan Johnson was the worst DB to me this year so his injury doesn't matter. Craig Bills is certainly better than his backup. Levitt, I don't know; dude's a human missile, but I think that's been both a good and bad thing. It still comes down to defensive playcalling to me.

Oh well, at least BYU finally used Mitch Matthews as he needs to be used. I loved watching that. Just throw the ball near the guy and he's going to catch it. Christian Stewart seems to understand that being "open" doesn't have to mean that there are no defenders around. If Mitch Matthews is single covered, you go there every time.

What were the odds of Utah having a better record than BYU to start the season? What are the odds now? Utah still has a brutal schedule that will be tough if not impossible to win out. BYU has a weak schedule but the way they are playing is unlikely to win out. After watching Cal and BYU I'm not sure BYU would have won that game even if they were completely healthy.

I'm going 8-4 for both of them. BYU loses to either Cal or Boise and wins the rest. Though Middle Tennesse actually scares me too. They have a top 30 offense. 6-6 at worst.

Utah loses to USC, Oregon, Arizona State, and then finishes out with 3 wins. I'll go 6-6 at worst also for them because I think if they do lose those 3 games in a row that I think they will.....it might just snowball. And Stanford is not a fun game to try to get back on track with.

Anybody ever seen a game at Smurf Turf in Boise? I'm going Friday....just wondering if I need special glasses to view the game. I can barely stand watching games on that field on T.V. Can't imagine what it's going to be like in person.

I think Utah beats Stanford. One of the greatest lies in the PAC is that Kevin Hogan is an above average QB. In fact, I think Stanford is the one team left on Utah's schedule that can't run away and hide from you offensively. Considering Utah's offensive woes combined with that stellar defense, that is suddenly a nice match up for them.

I think Utah beats Stanford, Zona, and Colorado to finish with 8 wins. However, if they can find a way to get production out of one QB and their WR's, I think they can also win 1 of the 3 games vs USC, ASU, and Oregon but I won't be holding my breath.

I think the Utes beat USC because I am a homer and I really really want them to.
