So a large part of your fan base is 50+? Because it's been a long time since BYU has been within spitting distance of great.
Yes. Or are children of dedicated fans that witnessed greatness.

Without it being conference champs then the best teams in are decided by a popularity contest and not on the field. If you can't win your own conference I can't see you having a legitimate argument as the best team in the country. If it does not include the champs of the big 5 conferences then it's the same ****ed up championship by popular demand we have lived with for a long time. That system has been proven to be seriously flawed. If you don't win your conference you have no argument to deserve the title. If you happen to be one of the lucky ones that does get a 2nd chance and prove it then so be it. But those teams should not be given a 2nd chance until the teams that did win their conference are in.Yeah, I couldn't careless about getting all the conference champs in the playoff, just the best teams.
Didn't make light of it doe..... and wouldn't have brought it up if this discussion was not ongoingYou literally just brought it up bro.
Like, literally.
Literally literally just brought it up as you patted yourself on the back for not bringing it up LOL.
Dat zoob logic doe

Damn, MSU is now ranked 3rd. Next week is going to be 3rd vs 2nd with the MSU vs. Auburn matchup. Crazy, whoever wins that could end up being ranked #1 if FSU loses.
I think the stated goal of the committee is to pick the best teams, not the most popular ones. A team finishing 2nd within a conference can be the 2nd best team in the nation. I can see why some people wouldn't want them included, but I prefer putting in the best teams even if they are rematches of regular season games and/or teams that didn't win the conference.Without it being conference champs then the best teams in are decided by a popularity contest and not on the field. Right now the teams in the top 4 or the top 8 are not likely to be there next week, or the week after or the week after. Come the end of the season it's the same thing. You got lucky and got popular at the end of the season. But if the season continued some would not be there. The solution to this is win your conference, then the regular season for all teams actually means something and is not diminished as it would be with your solution.
I've never heard of a defense at any level that wasn't taught to smash the QB. I was like a heat seeking missile coming off Paul Kruger's blind side. I wanted so badly to smash him. Likewise, I'm sure he couldn't wait to smash our QB. Of course, we kicked his *** and sent his team home crying. He is now a millionaire and most of us are now working 40 hrs per week for normal wages...

I'm willing to bet that if you took a poll of All ute fans that they would say byu fans are teh worst.
If you took a poll of all byu fans I'm sure that they would say ute fans are teh worst.
It's all biased opinion.
As for me, I spend most of my time around ute fans due to the fact that I like to party (I have been to way more ute games than byu games)
Most all of my ute fan friends constantly talk **** about byu. They are obsessed about it.
When I went tailgating with ugli and his friends he told me "don't tell them you are a byu fan or they will hate you and you will not have a good time."
I went to my wifes work party a few years ago and we were talking football and I mentioned I was a byu fan. After that everyone was rude to me and treated me horribly, constantly taking **** about byu to me. (Btw, I dont talk trash about the utes to ute fans, cause im not a dick like that)
When I hang out with byu fans they occasionally talk **** about the utes, but not at nearly as high of a rate as my ute fan friends talk about byu.
It certainly varies from each person's experiences though I'm sure
I'm with Fish on this. Pretty much 100% less one outlier BYU fan that completely hates any and everything Ute related because "they are all douche bags and their school color comes from used tampons". I interact with about as many BYU fans as Utah fans and there is a noticeable hate level difference. This is in general, there are outliers in both camps.
Maybe BYU fans are just uber susceptible to butthurt, which makes it seem like Ute fans are super-duper meanies
I was at the rivalry game last year in Provo and watched the "polite" BYU fan base in the south end zone pelt a referee with water bottles, half eaten caffeine free nachos, and other assorted trash all because the refs didn't fall for a BYU WR pulling a Ute defender down on top of him while trying to draw a PI call on the last play of the game.
BYU fans may not be as rude to Ute fans when they interact, but they're still dicks.
But now I'll have to stop trolling youNot gonna hate on either if these comments
But I had just graduated to uber susceptable butthurt levelBut now I'll have to stop trolling you![]()

Make mine a third witness.
90% of the people I interact with are BYU fans. I *never* read or hear them talk about Utah football. Seriously, never. It's not a thing.

ProbablyAs a Ute fan, I have also noticed this, but I believe you fellas are ignoring the obvious just a bit. Outside of Conan types, most fans are smart enough to pipe down when their team is taking a beating, year after year, over and over again. Over the last few years, there have still been a few smack-talkin' BYU fans, but they have slowly disappeared, as I'm sure they are worn down. I suspect if BYU ever somehow manages to get the best of Utah again(LOL), you will see the loudmouth cougar fans reappear like a plague of locusts.
