What's new

2014 College Football

The ACC has 10 since '75.

Since '91 (24 years);
ACC - 8
SEC - 6
Big East - 6 (I put Louisville there, although they have bounced around conferences - nobody wants them)
PAC - 2
BIG 10 - 1
BIG 12 - 1

Htf did you make this a LSU vs. Utes thing? "we" SEC fans have joked about LSU this year.. srsly.

You brought up the SEC being overrated, not me talking **** about the Utes..

the take-home from this little banter is you are likely neither merely a Utes homer nor a complete retard of epic proportions... but rather, undoubtedly, both.

Unreal. So, the SEC is over-rated, LSU is proof of this, and all you have is name calling? LOL. Homer.

It is very strange that the SEC being overrated has been relegated to one team, LSU.. in THIS season. Cherry picking mother ****ers.

I kid.. I actually think the SEC is woeful and if the PAC12 would just get a fair shake by the voters, we'd see a complete reversal in all the conference championships.

This is ********. I've shown how every SEC schedule is pathetic and how Miss St and Ole Miss have done nothing OOC to show that they are any good. They get all their pub from beating **** teams and SEC wins.

Florida is 3-3. Awful by Florida standards, average by normal standards.

Utah loss to a team that is 2-6.........

They just beat the previously ranked #3 team, I believe their game has talked very loudly if you are looking at recent performance.

Also, LSU's close win was on the road @ Florida. Still a very hard place to play.

Utah loss to a **** *** team at home..... but they should be ranked above LSU who's losses are to #2 and #3 with a win over #3, right?

Have you watched Florida play? They SUCK. They are beyond awful. I think they only beat Colorado in the PAC-12, and that would be a game. I've watched all of Florida's games, and they are horrible.

Yeah, they are 3-3, and their three DOMINATING, SEC MAN WINS ARE.....*drumroll*

Eastern Michigan.
The MIGHTY Kentucky Wildcats (who freaking took Mississippi St to the wire. Dat SEC doe).
Tennessee. The same Tennessee who is 0-4 in SEC play. The good news for Tennessee is that going 0-4 means they will probably take the mighty Crimson Tide to the wire, because going winless in the SEC means you're awesome.

Florida has lost:

Alabama by 21, even though Florida was in this game in the third quarter.
Lost by 3 to the MIGHTY LSU TIGERS, who we have all agreed is vastly over-rated.
Lost by 29 to Missouri (funny, play a team with an offense, get destroyed. Weak *** Big 12 team comes in and competes, that's how awesome the SEC is).

Again, all the SEC has done is beat the SEC. And that makes them amazing. Pbbbbbbtthhhh.

By your logic UCLA was an awesome team when Utah played them, and it was on the road. So isn't that pretty damn impressive too? Add in a win vs USC and one less loss, and yea, LSU shouldn't have jumped Utah.

LSU doesn't have a win as impressive as Utah's win over UCLA. Heck, LSU doesn't have a road win where they traveled two time zones like Utah has over Michigan.

Pretty sure the only super low scoring SEC game this year has been the LSU/Ole Miss game. Defense is kind of important dawg. Probably the #1 reason why people tend to think (know) the SEC is way better, we play defense.

Funny thing is that Utah is trying to mimic SEC style of football right now by playing a very conservative passing game while featuring a dominant RB and a good defense. They would be about an Arkansas level team in the SEC.

Right now? Utah has been playing this way for 20+ years. In fact, Utah showed Alabama how to play football a couple years ago, if I recall correctly.

Also, Cy keeps talking about how Miss St has beaten three straight top 10 teams. They aren't top 10 teams. Sorry.

They beat:

LSU - everyone agrees they are over-rated.
Texas A&M - Currently 5-3, 2-3 in the SEC. Not top 10.
Auburn - Auburn may be great. They may suck. Look at their wins:

Arkansas - bad win. Arkansas had ZERO P5 wins last year.
SJSU - bad win.
@ Kansas St - Good win. On the road, but Kansas has only played one decent team, Oklahoma and won by 1 pt.
Louisiana Tech - bad win.
LSU - we all agree LSU isn't that good.
South Carolina - They aren't any good this year.

So, what has Auburn proven?

Here is my point:

Why is Mississippi St suddenly the best team in football, when they haven't played anyone (other than Auburn)? Because they are in the SEC. There is no other reason for their greatness. Their OOC sucks. Their schedule sucks. The SEC is watered down with all the extra teams. BUT, they get credit for "beating three top 10 teams" when they didn't do that.

Have you looked at Mississippi State's schedule? Let's look, shall we? And, let's put Utah's team up against that schedule.

Southern Mississippi - Utah wins that game.
UAB Blazers - Utah wins that game. And Utah doesn't give up 34 points either.
South Alabama - Utah wins that game. Dat SEC schedule doe.
@ LSU - UCLA/USC are better than LSU. Utah probably wins that game.

4 games in, and both teams are 4-0.

Texas A&M - Utah wins this game. Texas A&M SUCKS. Look at them: Wins over a terrible South Carolina team, Lamar, SMU, Rice, and Arkansas, who was worse than Colorado last year. Their losses? 17 pts to Miss St. 15 pts to Ole Miss. 59 to Alabama. Texas A&M SUCKS. But dat tough SEC doe.
Auburn - again, this game is the first toss up. You put Auburn in SLC, Utah probably wins.
Kentucky - Again, Kentucky is not a good football team. Their wins are terrible: UT Martin, Ohio, Vandy, South Carolina, ULM. Their losses? Florida (and Florida sucks), LSU (who we all agree is overrated), and Mississippi State.

So, with Mississippi State's schedule, Utah is most likely 7-0 as well.

But dat SEC doe. Toughest conference hands down. How do people handle the gauntlet of a schedule like Mississippi's State has? Holy cow. Week in, week out. Dat grind.

How will Mississippi State handle Arkansas next, with their ZERO P5 wins last year, then UT Martin next? Wow. They essentially have three weeks to get ready for Alabama.

Dat schedule doe.

Cy keeps bringing up the WSU loss as Utah's downfall. The funny thing is, Mississippi State has give up plays of 60 yards or more every game this year. Against that piss poor schedule. I'm not 100% sure Mississippi State beats WSU's passing game.

Look at what Kentucky and UAB did to that defense. Mississippi State might win, but it would be a game.

They gave up 435 yards passing to UAB. You think WSU, Leach and Halliday couldn't get 500+ on Mississippi State?

But, dat SEC doe. Dey for reals. Look at dat schedule. Week in week out. Grind. Hells ya.

Blah

blah

The Utes have played no one except overrated teams. Utes would go winless in the underrated SEC.

Green ****tin on everyone here. K state, Oklahoma, every SEC team.. Basically everyone sucks and the whole system is some corrupt facade to promote bad teams from bad conferences (aka those not in the pac-12).

Since green seems to think his analysis is definitive, let's apply it in reverse to see if it holds true for utahs schedule.

Idaho st: fcs

Fresno st: suck

Michigan: suck

Washington st: loss

Ucla: only won by 2 (margin of victory hurts k st, so 2 point margin = not impressive). Let's see how good UCLA really is.
- five very narrow wins vs bad teams (uva, ut, Memphis, cal, colo)
- double digit loss at home to the supposedly best team in the conference
- loss at home to unranked utah who had been weak the previous two seasons
- big win against asu, but since we don't know the strength of the conference really, who knows how good a win it actually was?
UCLA conclusion = not a top-25 team and therefore not that impressive of a win

Oregon st: suck (only have wins vs WEAK ooc teams and have lost all conference match ups except vs a crappy Colorado

Usc: not a top 25 team either. Three losses already, one to BC??

Asu: super good team "supposedly" although we don't really know because their ooc slate sucked (weber and unm? Ha!)

So basically, utah has a **** out of conference slate, and so far, the teams they've beat have had **** ones as well. So who really knows how good they are? Maybe 15 is too generous.

@green, this post was satirical. Utah is a good team having a good season, but your argument is a ****ing house of cards. It's stupid. You're stupid. Stop. Stop!

I didn't know there was anybody left who hadn't hidden green from their feed.

Please stop quoting him.

thanks.
