2014 College Football

Yep, pretty much before the year started I said we would have a good year and Dak would be a Heisman candidate. I got laughed at and said talking about a Mississippi team on a Jazz forum wasn't allowed. Y'all created this monster.
I remember loling at ya.
I'm Dr Frankenstein...... I like the monster I helped create

considering their are no conference champions to consider yet(something they claim will play a major factor in the final spots) and that those SEC teams still have to play each other, I'm not sure their getting more than 1 in. Going to pick up some loses around the way and the conference championships still have to be factored in.
.
I'd not be surprised with multiple SEC teams in,I'm just not sure you should be gloating this early. After all a 1 loss Oregon is still ahead of a 1 loss Alabama. An Alabama team who lost to a much higher ranked team than Oregon did.

Can a person not give rats asses about more than one thing at a time? Can a person not revel in their teams success and laugh at everyone who talks **** about their conference at the same time?

Take a deep breath pal. My entire point is, it's pretty foolish to be pounding your chest after week 1 of these rankings. If you want to fly your SEC flag and tell the PAC to "suck it", perhaps you should wait until the final rankings are in and 3 SEC teams are in while the PAC is skunked.

As was just posted, there are still a lot of moving parts to this. MSU still has to play Ole Miss and Bama. Bama still has to play Auburn, etc. The landscape is going to shift dramatically in the coming weeks. And the second part of my point is that as a Utah fan, pretty much my only concern is how MY team is doing. While I do think the SEC often times gets too much love from voters and media, all I truly care about is how good or bad my team is. I don't need to see 3 of 4 playoff teams come from the PAC, I just want to see my team contend for one of those spots every once in a great while.

Pounding your chest about the first week of playoff rankings is not too much different than running your mouth about being a pre season #1 or having "X" amount of your conference teams in the preseason top 20. Still a lot of football left to be played.

Of course no way 3 happens, but 2 could be possible, but probably unlikely. The only scenario I see it happening is MSU going undefeated til the SEC Championship and losing to Georgia, then you may have Georgia/MSU both in.

Everyone pounds thier chest when thier team/conference is doing well.... as they should.

Hell there are posts from a ute fan in this very thread that was talking about how Travis Wilson was the number 2 rated qb in the country after 2 games against crap opponents.

For the record, I don't think the PAC gets in because I don't think there's a 1 loss PAC team by the end of the season. My guess is 2 SEC schools, Florida State, and the 4th team coming from the Big 10, Big 12, or ND.

I think it serves as more evidence for the PAC to drop to 8 conference games.

Dres Anderson is out for the season with a knee injury. Trying to decide if it really hurts the Utes or not.

I just really hope FSU losses. I feel like they are the one team that could get into the playoff with us still having no clue if they are really a good team or not. Everyone else will have earned it.

That sucks. Was it a practice injury? I don't remember him going down during the game. Even with his drops, just the threat of him getting loose on a defense is a big loss. He seems like he is open deep constantly.

My brother has some good connections in the grapevine and he told me that Kyle was going to announce a season ending injury this morning and per some tweets I just read, it's Dres. Sucks for the kid.

Wow, that sucks... Yes it hurts them

Agreed.

You don't think the former champions who are undefeated, despite legal problems every week, are good?

Lol

Dres, both qb's, tonga, booker, poole, scott, etc.... I think dres is the first injury to the skill players on offense fit the utes this year right? It was bound to happen at some point

Injuries happen, It's just a bummer that it had to happen in his Senior Season. As a team, we have been much luckier with injuries this year than we were last year.

Hopefully, someone on the roster can step up.

Lol
Have you watched them play this year? Not impressive at all. Them being defending champs is meaningless, they lost about half of that team.
