2014 NBA Playoffs: 1st Round

I wish we had D. Lil.

I think Dream and McHale have done wonders for him. I never remember Dwight knowing how to get position, move to the side with less pressure, and otherwise using post moves to score down low. He looked a lot like shaq to me.

He can't hit free throws? What series were you watching? I thought he was just fine last night.

Dwight Howard was huge. The reason why they lose is because none of their guards play a lick of defense. As much as Harden scores he gives up so much defensively. Parsons is just as bad IMO.

And for those of you blasting McHale, ummmm... Think he instructed Parsons to follow D Lil loosely and let him get a good look? At some point the players need to be held responsible. The issue is, no one other than their 2 centers have an idea of what defense is.

You idiots blasting McHale for not stopping D Lil's shot are the same idiots who blasted Sloan for when Memo and Boozer wouldn't stop anybody. It's not McHale's fault that Harden and Parsons and Save it up for offense and don't even attempt to play defense.

i don't know what you've been watching, but dwight was a beast when he was a magic. and dream has been working with this guy way before he became a rocket and a laker. dwight gets molested by idiot chuck and shaq all the time, but dwight always dominated the league(pre lakers injury) and even made it to the finals.

dwight is dwight. supreme talent, but lacks great skills. doesn't mean he doesn't have a skill. he does. but it comes and goes. dwight's post game is just too inconsistent. when he gets it going consistently he puts up 28pts. when he doesn't he still get his 20pts. last night, all he ever did was take advantage of slower defender in a single coverage. he got the ball deep in the paint and did his move which he has done throughout the career. and when the help d came he is still too strong that he still got the shot off and got to the foul line. did he really got better? maybe a little. it seems like his left has gotten better. but overall i can't say dwight has gotten better like how blake griffin got better.

and no doubt d howard is the best post defender in this league. it's not even close.

also about FT - he hit 6/11 which isn't bad for him. but you must missed howard missing CRITICAL FTs in a CRITICAL time. those are only FTs that matter. if he made just half of those rockets would've won the game. dwight is a beast, but i cringe when he is at the line.

and you are crazy if you think mchale is a good coach let alone mentioning him in a same sentence as sloan. that's borderline blasphemy. mchale is not a good coach. never has been. great player doesn't make great coach. can he coach post moves to dwight? sure, why not? mchale was the greatest post player ever. but dude cannot coach. so many mistakes in .9 sec. if i'm a rockets fan, i would've choke in my own vomit after watching that meltdown

so many fail

1. leaving Lin out when Lin did a great job blanking lillard in the 4th. taking him out is #1 major fail. Lin is the only guy who can stay with lillard. in this situation you put fast guys. bev, lin should've been there.
2. parsons on lillard? what in the world? after watching replay harden was telling parson to be on lillard. not sure if this was done by mchale, but still. coaches get these kinda blame.
3. putting harden in - either mchale is in denial, but the whole world knows harden doesn't play D. did you see harden standing still and not helping parson out? i know harden is a superstar. but in this critical situation, putting harden in there was a big risk itself.

lillard probably would've hit a contested shot. dude is a bad boy. but you don't give him a clear look at the rim and let your defender 3 feet off of him because you did everything you aren't supposed to do in that situation. and not only this, there were so many coaching mistakes throughout the season and this series. if rockets can land brooks, vogel, thibs or whoever else is available, they really should can this guy who's been living off his past glory days way too long.

lol, got a great first step and took off running? is this guy serious? that's what happens when you put 6ft 9 guy on a fast little dude.

Anyone watching the up-and-down Clippers/Warriors game who doesn't think Randle would be absolutely killing it?

I can't think who would stop him going hard to the rim and either scoring or drawing fouls.
