2014 NBA Playoffs: Conference Finals

Corbin might have a challenger for dumbest coach ever.

What the **** is he thinking trying to defend Ray Allen with David West?

West in his prime couldn't defend a 100 year old Ray Allen. Has Vogel seriously not watched the NBA the last 15 years? Ray Allen is kinda a good shooter. Dummy

Other than maybe Corbin, is there another coach in the league who would put West on Ray Allen?

...I didn't see ANYBODY covering Ray Allen....and that won't happen when they play the Spurs! Besides, the Spurs will score on about 60% of there possessions against the porous Heat defense. Ray Allen is the best 3 point shooter in NBA history for sure.....but he will shoot 20% from three point land against the Spurs.

Problem is: You need Lance on Wade and George on James. They play a stretch lineup? Pacers can't counter that, so they better stay big and figure out who offers nothing but shooting. They identified Allen and decided to have West attached to him. Don't know exactly who the rest were on the court but I know this situation from previous games.

I hate to say it but my Spurs are in huge trouble. That epic Spurs vs Heat rematch is in serious doubt.

Ibaka is clearly the second most important player for the Thunder. He shuts down the paint, helps off to defend Parker, is a threat on the offensive boards, and sucks players out of the paint because he's a terrific jump shooter. Ibaka gave them more production in 1 qtr than 3 starters (Tabo, perk, collison) did in the first 2 games. The Thunder went from being completely inept and blown out to blowing out the Spurs all because Ibaka came back.

I don't see the Thunder rattling off 4 straight like they did a few years ago. But I don't think the Spurs can beat the healthy Thunder 4 times in 7 games. Game 4 should be treated as game 7 for the Spurs. Gotta keep the Thunder down because if they go back to SA tied... Watch out...

At age 29, LeBron James is now the all time leader in 25/5/5 games in the post season.

Just crazy.

Bron always makes the right decision and makes all of his teammates better.
Great defense too.... and rebounding.

Rashard lewis might be the worst shooter in the nba.
If im down 3 with a couple seconds left in the game, im going to birdman before i let rashard unleash one of his bricks

The leaderboard on that stat is a who's who of HOFers, but there he is, on top, and probably has 6-7 good years left in him still. Jalen Rose, and I'm not sure if this is a mistake or not (maybe he got mixed up with the 25/5/5 stat), said LeBron is also the all-time playoff leader in terms of leading his team in points, rebs and assists. Crazy, indeed.

This is a different Spurs team.....and the Thunder won't win 2 straight against them, let alone 4!

i agree everything you just said except bron being a great defender. Bron can be a great defender, but in this post season, his defense has been subpar by his high standard.

I think during this round against the pacers he is playing riskier defense and gambling in the passing lanes more.

I believe this to be intentional because he looked at the pacer and thought "what will the pacers do that will give us the most trouble?".... the answer is the pacers half court defense.

So i think bron is going for steals more than normal so they can get in transition more and not face that half court defense as much.
I also think that he realizes that the pacers offense is nothing to be afraid of so when he gamble for steals and deflections and misses, he figures that the pacers inept offense wont make the heat pay for gambling.

Lebrons bbiq is through the roof and i think he is playing the type of defenses that his team needs him to play vs the team they go against
