What's new

2015-2016 NBA Thread

Only a fool would doubt D'Angelo Russell at this point. Getting drafted infront of Jahlil Okafor means you're a made man, that flew over too many peoples heads - I'm still surprised about the aftermath, and it's public perception.

Many a Laker fan has hated on him too, unjustly. They mostly either wanted Okafor, or think Clarksons better, or both. They kill him for his athleticism (but mostly didn't realize he led OSU in rebounding).

I've been arguing across the internets in his defense for several months now, and he's gonna prove plenty of it true.

Been comparing him to some sort of Steph and Harden fusion for some time, and posters get all sorts of defensive about that ****. He looks good. I wholeheartedly believe the Lakers have him on the bench and have been limiting his minutes, because their tanking.

PG_AB with another 'bang on' take here... Russell has been killing it since the All Stars break when Byron Scott was forced to start Russell due to Lou Williams' injuries.

Another 27pt game tonight with a win over DET.

Last night Westbrook had 25 points, 20 assists, 11 rebounds.

Wtf

He's the first to put up those numbers since Magic Johnson in 1988.

Apparently they mistakenly credited him with an assist on a 'hockey assist'.

Can we talk about what an insane season Westbrook is having? I don't think anyone has ever averaged Westbrook's combination of points, assists, and rebounds (24/10/7). Magic, Lebron, Bird, Payton, Kidd, CP3, Thomas--none of them ever did it. Dude is crazy. He makes boneheaded plays at times, but he's truly a freak of nature.

Ya, I lol when I think back to last summer when jazzfanzers were saying that they wouldn't want Westbrook on the jazz

One can easily see why Kanter is sitting behind Adams with all those numbers he is having day in day out. His game is so predictable and without any hustle on defensive end. So bad that it's frustrating to watch sometimes.

Wolves are looking very good against Warriors right now. Scary what the Wolves are going to be in a couple years, especially with another lottery pick.

I really dont want to see Warriors set the regular season win record. They are not on the same level as the Bulls imo.

Also I like the shout out Stein gave the Jazz in his review of Warriors winning 73 games.

Golden State's chances of winning 73 games from 59 percent likely to 48 percent, noting that the Warriors now need an 11-2 finish, with two more games left against San Antonio and a tricky trip to Utah on March 30 to deal with as well.

Where do you think LeBron will end up on the all time scoring and assists lists? Honestly, when looking at the numbers, I could see him ending his career as the top scorer of all time and third in assists.
