Where do you think LeBron will end up on the all time scoring and assists lists? Honestly, when looking at the numbers, I could see him ending his career as the top scorer of all time and third in assists.

I think he could even end up 2nd on the assists list.

I looked at it one time and thought it was most realistic that he would finish 3rd in scoring, top 10 in assists and top 50 in rebounds. Just that would be ridiculous, but 1st and 3rd? Yikes.

When I looked at it, all he would have to do is average 22 PPG and 6 APG for about 6 years and he would rank 1st and 3rd in those categories.

Averaging 6 APG will be no problem for LeBron, no matter his age.

He's been the youngest to reach every scoring mark, so I don't see how it's farfetched at all for him to eventually pass Kareem, especially when you consider the fact that he's been very healthy throughout his career and goes to the Finals continually.

Hell, he's on track to enter the top 10 scoring list (surpassing Hakeem) THIS SEASON.

IIRC, I only went 4 years out at that production, so I was pretty conservative. Under your calculations, I wonder how high he could get on the rebound list too.

He's still averaging 25 PPG. I figured he could maintain that maybe another two years, then have his production fall to around 22 PPG for two years, then down to 20 PPG for two years, which would leave him in the general area of 22 PPG over those 6 years. Seems pretty reasonable to me. Then I figured he could average about 82 games a season when you factor in the fact that there's a good chance he'll continue to play 20+ games every postseason; whatever games he misses during the regular season as he ages should be made up by playoff games.

22 PPG at 82 games per year gets him to #1 on the scoring list in about 6.5 years, iirc.

If anyone has a chance to pass Kareem, it's LeBron.

Holy ****. I just looked at the Eatern standings. The Bulls aren't going to make the playoffs? LULZ. Good job waving buh-bye to Thibs, Chitown.

How many rings would you say he needs?

He's too tainted. He lost with the Cavs twice and the Heat twice and has bad press after bad press. Jordan wasn't only great because he was great. He was the best because he was a perfect 6-0 in the NBA Finals and a near flawless image for the league.

Jordan was not flawless, not even close.

Which belied the fact that he was and is a toxic piece of crap

Chicago choking so hard is kinda baffling when you consider that Rose has improved over the year. I think they've lost their "edge", bringing less effort, resulting in a lot of shaqtin-a-Harden moments defensively together with Gasol being in charge of trying to limit opposing starters from scoring at the rim at age 30-something wasn't working.
Shooters being injured(Dunleavy)/inconsistent(Mirotic+McDermott+Snell)/out of shape(Brooks) didn't help establishing an offense that can outscore opponents on a daily basis(based off my observation that inside defense is shaky - I guess Noah + Gibson's bodies collapsing after Thibs years and Butler focusing more on offense and his body showing first signs of fatigue didn't help either)

In their era it was way easier to contain the damage Jordan's private life and personality could've caused.
Yep. This is the big difference. Today even when nothing of substance really happens things can still blow up on social media. Even when a story is positive it can still be guaranteed that large numbers of people will weigh in with negative reactions.

Put a guy like LBJ who has had strangers salivating over him and trying to get his attention all his life into this mix and it's practically guaranteed that things are going to explode from time to time. Jordan would have had similar problems.

Dumbasses. That roster is very talented and deep. They should be in the playoffs with homecourt imo

I disagree. Jordan's legend as a baller is very close to flawless when compared to other greats.

Porzingis is the 1st rookie to score at least 1,000 points, grab 500 rebounds, make 75 3-pointers and block 100 shots.
