2015 Annual JazzFanz All-Time NBA Draft

Nice pick, used to watch him play for the Heat in the 90's :)
Why not the Suns in the 90's
Not sure how much you watched in the 80s or earlier but most of these legends made their money playing half court sets. If there had been a 3 pt line they would have adjusted their game. In their world a free throw line jumper was a good shot and layups / hooks, etc. Of course. They understood spacing and were masters at getting off good shots in the half court set. Transition was also an important part of the game, and for that defense was key. I think given a half a season or so a Cousy or Russell et al would have the hang of it and would start to school folks.
Lol. I don't know about Cousy. That shot form was my shot form when I was 10. Lol

Last year I had a ton of current players. This year I tried to stay away. Only three this year. All three though are the more dominant at their positions currently in Cousins Durant and Westbrook who went on a triple double binge second half of the season and was in discussion for MVP even though he missed so many games. Mostly went 90's two in the 80's and two of the best the 60's had to offer. Think I got a good mix

I know that. Just not sure how accurate he could be from 3 with that form. Seems it would be hard to shoot that straight from that distance.

It's funny because Wilt and Russell went in the first round and they played in the early 60's and are highly regarded. Yet, Pettit who played in that same era and is the only player to beat Russell in the Finals is not highly regarded at all. He was MVP twice in the league when Russell and Wilt were playing.

Just a reminder that Russell got injured in game 3 of that series ;)

Physically wilt andRussell were at another level especially wilt. Wilt was 7-1 275 lbs and just every bit as imposing as some of the most imposing centers from the last 25 years.

So how will the playoff bracket work with 12 teams?

While we wait should we throw a few ideas around?

Personally I think the match ups in the first round should be, only way for the match ups to be more even imo
1v2
3v4
5v6
7v8
9v10
11v12

Well either than or a randomised draw again.

Then after that though we'll be left with 3 teams? Don't we need another team to make it to complete a Semi? (apologies for the phallic connotation).

Or 2 more teams to complete a quarter final draw? (i.e., 8 out of 12)?

The original thought was three regions with four teams each. We get down to three teams and the team with the most votes through the first two rounds gets a berth in the championship game while the other two battle it out.

Or...

We have the first round matches, then you'll get 6 winners, then you choose x2 more teams from the losers with the most votes - giving you 8 teams. That's your quarterfinals... then you go down to your semi-finals and then final.

Easy.

Wow.. I really like this idea as well. Maybe you end up with a bad matchup and lose, but you get a second chance. I do think the losers with the most votes play against the two winners with the most votes. So they get a second chance, but they don't get rewarded for losing.

I don't care which idea is used, but pitting the losers against the biggest winners is not a good idea. They will almost certainly lose again.

Why reward the losers with an easy matchup, let's reward the better teams.
