2015 Annual JazzFanz Current Players Draft

And his lack of defense and court vision
3 assists in college is pretty good for the type of player he is.

Ya his defense sucks

Because he had the ball in his hands most of the time. You can get assist without having court vision. The dude has tunnel vision every time he drives to the basket.

Honestly I would not be surprised.
I know I'm known as a big time Burks homer but I still think he will end up being better than Hayward.

He has always worked hard on his game and always had a chip on his shoulder.

With hoods terrific play and all the talk about him taking the starting job combined with many fans kind of forgetting about Burks since he was injured last year...... I have a feeling that the chip on Burks shoulder is bigger than ever and his motivation to work is at an all time high.

Dude is going to come back with a vengeance.

This.
Starting or coming off the bench, Burks is going to play 30 mins/per. Burks IS what we want Dante to become offensively. He's not afraid to take it inside, or he showed last year he can hurt a team outside. Better than Hayward eventually? Don't know. But certainly a very valuable cog in Utah's rotation.

Harden sophmore year he played about 5 more minutes per game and only averaged about 1 more assist per game.
(Also averaged less points and rebounds per game in 5 more minutes per)

OK

That should tell you not to look at college stats this much.

I think Burks court vision is fine.

Burks sophomore year stats also compare quite well to d-wades.

Curry sophomore year he played more minutes than Burks and averaged the exact same amount of assists

Well I was making a point about Burks putting up really good numbers in college.

So I shouldn't use his college stats to show how good his college stats were?

Should I use his high school stats then? Lol

Ok so these aren't necessarily the best picks or best available but I want these guys on my team and I don't pick til the 10th round so with that said I'll select.......
.
With the 74th pick I take Josh Smith, love the versatility.
With the 75th pick I select Marcin Gortat, my defensive big to go along with Vuc.

76th I'll take Nicholas Batum, had an off year but love his versatility as well.

77th I'll snag Avery Bradley, need to snag a defensive guard to slot in when needby

I like the gortat pick allot. Also like the bradley pick.

Hood is no defensive stud either. What about his 1.7 assists a game this year in 21 minutes?

He's also 22 only two years younger than Burks.

With that being said I love both of them and its a shame that one of them will have to come off the bench.

With the 78th pick. Thee jazz fan selects the sharp shooting 4 Ryan Anderson.

Anderson had an off year, as he began the year injured, came back to play 60+ games. I expect Anderson to have a bounce back year being healthy for a full training camp will be huge for him.

Shooting is the theme with my last two picks in Redick, and now Ryan Anderson. He is the perfect fit for my team slotted next to Cousins and Wall. With those two Anderson should find himself with plenty of open looks for three. Anderson being another elite 3pt shooter.

Thanks to Cousins being so dominant in the paint he cancels out Ryan Anderson's deficiencies in rebounding and defense and lack of post offense.

John Wall
JJ Redick
Tobias Harris
Ryan Anderson
Demarcus Cousins

I've got a well rounded lineup. Perfect combo of athletic ability shooting. Also an underrated defensive team. Wall, Harris, Cousins all + defenders with great offense and floor spacing and this era's version of Bully ball thanks to Cousins. And love my potential for small ball with Harris and Anderson.
