2015 Annual JazzFanz Current Players Draft

I guess maybe you guys didn't see the same Noah that I did during the playoffs (primarily against the Cavs). He looked like he was shot to me. Couldn't catch passes, couldn't make shots, just nothing.

Yeah, rough series. But it's only one year removed for him from being the DPOTY and All-NBA first team.

He wasn't used to playing next to Gasol and he was injured part of the year for like 15 games.

After a full year and offseason with Gasol, they will be pretty nice. A stretch four and a rim protector. I don't need any offense from Noah either as you can see. Just rebound and block shots. He is an underrated passer as well.

Thanks brotha, I have a sweet starting line-up who were all picked in the top-50 but with that comes a price. I pick again at 66, then my last four picks are in the 10th round.

Going to have to work some magic, but rotations are usually only around 8 guys anyways.
Your welcome

He was on my fantasy team last year. Extremely disappointed in what I got from him. Even assist numbers were down

Actually somewhat of a solid defense. Nothing special but not Poor or anything. Other then Melo and Gasol the others are good defenders

This. I'm not going to act like Gasol is a good defender by any means, but 1.9 blocks a game isn't shabby either.

Seems a bit Porous defensively, no? Very susceptible to a slasher and/or small ball. . .

I can play small ball, put Melo at the 4 w/ Gasol at the 5. I love my spacing though. Klay and Melo is nice plus Gasol can stretch the floor.

Blocks mean nothing to me honestly when it comes to defense for a 7'0 they should luck into at least 2 every game, I personally judge a big man's defense off their ability to affect their opponents shot with out fouling and being able to stay on their feet and go straight up as well as hold their own in the block. Which is exactly why I see Gobert becoming the fiercest defender in the NBA (I know a lot of people think he's already there, I wanna see it for a full season with him as the starter before I anoint him to that title). With that said I still like your squad.

Love the posturing we constantly do in these drafts. Lol

Melo isn't going to pass the basketball though, so how will your other guys get going. He's going to ball stop your offense all day.

I think that this is a bit of a lazy argument and the easy one to throw out there.

Teams take around 80-90 shots a game. Carmelo has averaged 20 shots a game give or take for the past couple of years.

While I do know he runs the most iso plays in the league, what else do you want him to do? Do you see the talent he plays with?

Amar'e was averaging around 21 points a game his first two years with Melo while he (Melo) was averaging 24 points a game. Someone had to be passing the ball.

I love your takes, but this one was a bit off base. Carmelo isn't going to stop the offense completely, Denver put some pieces around him and they made the WCF.

Hell, Iverson and Melo both averaged 25+ in Denver for a year or two. If those two can do that, Klay Thompson, Kyle Lowry, and Pau Gasol will get plenty of shots.

That's your argument? That Denver team sucked.

Umm, yeah. That is my argument for saying Melo doesn't pass the ball. He's played with two guys who both have averaged 20+ with him.

If winning 45, 50, and 54 games while peaking at 110.7 PPG and making the WCF is sucking, then yeah they sucked bad.
