2015 Annual JazzFanz Current Players Draft

Not going to sugarcoat this. This was the worst pick of the draft. Looking at my big board I have literally 10 c's ahead of Bogut. He was irrelevant enough to basically be discarded in the finals, and that's when GS took control of the series.

And the 80+ wins that preceded that series? Just because one series favored small ball doesn't mean Bogut was bad. But thanks for your idiotic opinion anyway.

I really like that line up

Kind of lacking that superstar scoring closer at the end of games though.

Maybe aldridge and maybe gay can be that guy but I don't want to rely on either

You aren't going to be doubling Aldridge. I like those odds, especially since no one can slap Gobert on him. I'm built to stop the OTHER guy from hitting that last shot. I can grab a "big shot bob" guy on my bench. . .

Hah, Bob's retired, you're screwed ;)

Log is up soon. He told me who he wants. I PM'ed him in case that guy is taken for his second choice.

They went small because he was hurting the team and ineffective. Look at the centers that are still around. I wasn't even sure he'd get drafted. Just calling it as I see it.

Even Kerr himself said he was going to go back to his original line up next season, citing the 80+ ****ing wins they produced! The final was a tactical adjustment meant to prevent Cavs from slowing down the pace and take advantage of Lebron's inefficiency by maximizing the number of possessions.

I don't even know why I'm debating with your dumb "but haven't you seen last game??" opinion. Just think what you want.

It's Thee jazz fan. Take it with a grain of salt.

Just jumping in here. Bogut is a defensive stud.

Btw, they didn't go small to take advantage of LeBron's inefficiency, it was more of creating mis matches and Cleveland couldn't guard them.

It's both. It created a mismatch that forced Cavs to take out Mozgov who was having a career series, and allowed Lebron's sub-40% mass shooting to start really hurting the scoreline.

I think the result was LeBron shooting percentages, but I don't think that's why they did it. Lol who cares, Bogut is a great defensive player, I don't mind the pick.

No. Lebron was shooting a very low percentage before the adjustment. I remember specifically the announcers saying that Lebron can keep taking 30+ shots a game at a low percentage as long as the Cavs continue to limit the number of possessions. Next game, what do you know, small line up and a massive increase in number of possessions!

LeBron single handedly won them two games by taking those shots.

Never said he was a bad player. My main point is that there are so many centers available that are considered better and a lot less risk of injury and missing games and such. Then add the risk of him being a none factor. Had he even been decent before they went small ball they wouldn't have completely discarded him. All I'm saying. And it's definitely relevant, and should be a concern
