I don't think the cavs have enough fire power to beat the Warriors. Maybe if they had a healthy Love and Irving.

Dumping the Hawks is one thing

Beating the Warriors who have guys like Iggy, Lee, and Barbosa coming off their bench is another. Oh, and the Splash Bros are a different animal from anything in the east. The closest thing might have been Wall and Beal. They're splash bros lite

Lebron in a jazz uniform would challenge the Bulls record 96 record. He'd make even Exum look good.

Kobe v Jordan is an easy comparison. They are about the same size, similar skill sets and games. Jordan does everything better than Kobe. Kobe is a poor man's Jordan.

LeBron v MJ isn't so cut and dried. I'd give MJ the edge still due to superior scoring and defense, but Lebron does certain things better than MJ (rebounding, assisting) and he does and has done things MJ can't or didn't do (e.g., defend big men for extended periods). Yet Lebron can do everything Jordan can do at a high level, though maybe not quite as well. A lot of this is simply due to the fact that Lebron and MJ are both wings, but Lebron is so much bigger.

Again, I take MJ, but if somebody wants to argue Lebron, I get it. Lebron just does so much. If not the best, perhaps the most complete player in NBA history.

Good post.
Jordan was SUCH a fantastic scorer and seemed to just raise his level of play so much in big games and big moments that I have to give the edge to Jordan. And its actually an easy choice for me.

And I always hated Jordan and have always been a huge LeBron homer.


Imo no one compares to Jordan still.


Lebron belongs with Wilt, bird, magic, russell, shaq, Duncan

I put Kobe with guys like Isaiah, Malone, Barkley, hakeem, kareem

I think Jordan is in his own tier, LeBron is in the second tier, Kobe is in the third tier.

Uh?

Just a few games ago he tried to call timeout without having any. Bye drew up. Play with Lebron Inbounding the ball. Luckily, Lebron bailed him out and won the game on one incredible fadeaway 3 pointer. Coach James is killing it. The cheerleader on the sidelines has nice suits.
 
As if Mike Budenholzer being outcoached by LeBron James wasn't bad enough already, Kyle Korver is now out for the rest of the playoffs. The 2015 Cavaliers have had the easiest road to the Finals in NBA history.

If the Warriors win tonight I officially declare these conference finals terrible.

Considering the fact they are without two injured stars, maybe not. What other team in NBA history has made it to the finals missing their clear cut 2nd and 3rd best players? So, while one can argue the competition is lacking, they've had to do it without two all-stars, arguably making what they have accomplished as impressive as any finals run in NBA history.
 
I meant in terms of their competition, not relative to the strength of their own team. And I'd say the fact that they're getting by so easily without Love and Kyrie actually highlights even further how weak of a road this is.

I'm really interested to see how things play out for them. I expect them to be good (especially cause they're in the East), but whether they become true contenders will depend on Embiid.

Also, T-Wolves are gonna be very dangerous in the future. Wiggins/Towns combo could be epic.

There's a lot of great, young teams about to make the jump. But only one has Gobert.

I agree on the T-Wolves too. That's the team I'm keeping an eye on. Don't forget about Lavine and Shabazz. Problem with that team though is Flip is the coach. He's so old school. He still doesn't think the 3 pointer is a good shot. That's what might hold them back, that and the T-Wolves are just a bad all around organization.
 
I haven't followed Cleveland closely enough to know for sure, but in retrospect wouldn't they have been better off if they hadn't pulled the trigger on the Love trade? They still would have made the playoffs, right? Wiggins might have developed very quickly under LeBron's leadership.

lol, the hell is your problem? Korver being out for the playoffs is more than enough justification for re-emphasizing it.

The advanced analytics suggest that LeBron was better when Love was on the floor. Maybe a lot better. But, personally, I think they got soaked in that trade. They'll miss what Wiggins can do defensively when they face GSW (he'd really help guarding the perimeter).
