2016-17 Hype Train Playoff Chase!!!

Lol, I multiplied the 63.46% winning percentage by the 33 wins and got 21. Then added them together for 54. I couldn't find a formula anywhere so I just had to guess.

Why would such a random thing work? You should've thought about it instead of "guessing". I don't know what level of math this is, but no more than junior high (probably grade school even). In fact, you could have just got the win percent on NBA.com if you couldn't figure out how to do percentages, and then just multiplied that percentage by 82. No formula is needed. LOL.

It's really not that serious and really didn't warrant a reply like this. Thanks though.

Stop being a baby and join me in laughing at your math skills.

Jazz' magic number is 20.
Any combination of 20 wins by the Jazz or losses by the Blazers puts them in the playoffs. Of course, if another team takes over the 9th spot, that number would adjust accordingly.

We are in 4th seed genius. 5 wins plus 2 losses behind. We ain't catchin Houston genius.

Theyre 9-9 in their last 18 ****tard. It's reasonable to think the Jazz could overtake them ESPECIALLY if Favors returns to form.

You're saying that if a team that currently has fewer wins than the Blazers passes them up that the magic number for the Jazz to clinch could increase? Check your math. Let Siro help you.

He's saying it would change accordingly and that translates to the number 20 would go down.
