2016-17 Hype Train Playoff Chase!!!

OP updated with power rankings and standings from ESPN and power rankings from the NBA site.

If the Thunder and Grizzlies lose tonight and we win then the Jazz are in a three way tie for 5th place. Yes please.

The Thunder play the Hawks and Grizzlies play the Pelicants.

Last night's recap:

Last night goes to show you that nothing will be handed to the Jazz. They have to take what they want in this league. Last night all the wrong teams won.

Jazz won and that's all they can control. But so did the Warriors, Rockets, Grizzlies, Spurs, Blazers, Thunder and Nuggets.

The only losers were the Lakers, Pelicans, and Mavs. The west is still tough. The jazz would be the 3rd seed in the east and are the 7th seed in the west.

Tonight's games:

Suns @ Jazz
Spurs @ Wolves
Sixers @ Grizzlies

man. grizzlies are playing bad teams when conley is out. that sucks for us. hope sixers win but will be hard

Gotta keep winning till Hill and Favors are back, then it's game on.

Jazz won again!!! Jazz have won 7 of the last 8. But they have blown 3 big leads in the last 3 games and had to pull it out of their butts. They need to learn to keep that huge lead.

The Spurs and Grizzlies also won. The Suns and Wolves lost.

Tonight's games:

Warriors @ Clippers (I am hoping for a slobber knocker. A double OT thriller that just drains the warriors)
Pacers @ Suns (rather the suns get a high pick than the anyone else)
Kings @ Mavs (I want to ruin the Mavs draft pick #)
Lakers @ Rockets (double L possible?)
Blazers @ Bucks (Hopefully the Bucks curb stomp them)
Nuggets @ Nets (still don't like the nuggets but I don't hate them like I used to)

Gotta root for the lakers in that one. As much as it hurts to type that.

Grizzlies about to hit a rough patch in their schedule. Should drop a few games now.

Last night's recap:

Warriors blew out the Clippers in LA

Blazers lost so that's good. Nuggets, Suns, Mavs and Lakers lost as well. Unfortunately the Rockets won as did the Kings.

Tonight's games:

Jazz v Warriors - Jazz will be without half the team (Favors, Hood, Hill and Burks)
Wolves @ Raptors
Nuggets @ Wizards
Blazers @ Grizzlies (win win)
Sixers @ pelicans
Spurs @ Bulls

That blazers grizzlies game is truly a win win and i have a hard time deciding who to root for.... I think i will root for the grizz though. I just think that they will slow down as the season goes on (especially with conley injured) and i could see the blazers getting better as the season goes on.

OP Updated with standings and ESPN and NBA power rankings.

Jazz have gone 8-2 during the last 10 and have a 3 1/2 game lead on the 8th seed Blazers. Jazz are 3 games out of 3rd. That's right, Jazz are closer to the 3rd seed than they are the 8th.

Last night's scores:

Rockets, Mavs, Clippers and Kings won.

Lakers, Blazers and Nuggets lost.

Tonight's games:

Grizzlies @ Cavs
Wolves @ Bulls (I'd rather the Suns get a high lotto pick than the Wolves)
Warriors @ Pelicans
Knicks @ Suns (go go best lotto pick out of the west)
Thunder @ Blazers (Jazz are only a 1/2 game behind the Thunder but are 3 1/2 ahead of the Blazers)

Last night's games:

Grizz and Thunder lost! That was really big for the Jazz!!! Pelicans also lost, eh whatever.

Warriors, Blazers, Suns and Wolves all won.

Tonight's games:

Clippers @ Magic
Lakers @ Nets
Cavs @ Grizz
Kings @ Rockets
Pistons @ Mavs (lottery)
Thunder @ Jazz

If the bolded teams win then Utah will move into 6th and be 1 game ahead of OKC in 7th, 3 1/2 ahead of the Blazers in 8th and 5 1/2 ahead of the Kings in 9th. They will be behind the 5th place Grizz by 1/2 a game and the Rockets and Clippers (3 and 4) by 2 games.

Could be a massively good night for the Jazz!!!

CHOO CHOO ladies, gentlemen and Boris!!!!

Jazz dominated Lessbrook and the OKC Thunkers! 109-89. Jazz now lead the NW and took the6th spot without even a thank you to OKC for keeping it warm.

Grizz, Rockets, Spurs and Clippers also won.

Kings, Lakers and Mavs lost.

Tonight's games:

Pacers @ Pelicans
Blazers @ Nuggets
Spurs @ Suns
Knicks @ Warriors

Remind me, if we win the division are we guaranteed a certain seed (granted without home court)?

I think it is nothing more than bragging rights now. The NBA did away with the guaranteed HCA and seeding for division wins right?

This is a step in the right direction.

The NBA’s Board of Governors unanimously approved a proposal on Tuesday that would have each conference’s playoffs seeded by overall record. Before, each division winner within a conference was guaranteed a 1-4 spot, then the remaining four spots were determined by record. Those days are done.
