2016-17 Hype Train Playoff Chase!!!

Some potential good news -- If the Spurs can get up a couple games or so up on the Warriors (the Spurs own the tie-breaker), then neither the Spurs nor the Warriors will be motivated to win their games against the Jazz at the tail end of the season. They might be motivated to rest guys and eliminate any risk of injury.

So yeah, root for the Spurs to build a lead on the Warriors over the next few weeks.

Also, the Thunder are just 2 games back of the Clippers. They're still in play for the #5 seed. The Clips and Thunder split their season series 2-2, so a tie-breaker based on Conference record (??) will come into play if they end with the same record.

Anyone have a preference between playing the Clippers or OKC ?

With the Jazz up 4 games on the Thunder, it's unlikely they'll catch the Jazz. They do hold the tie-breaker though.

The hobbled Warriors will lose in the first round. Westbrook beats Harden. Jazz play okc in WCF then destroy the Cavs. Somehow Jingles wins finals MVP. Hayward is a good sport about it but Rudy is clearly upset. Rudy shoots greater than .400 from 3 next season.

Thunder, Pelicans and Warriors won last night. Blazers lost.

Tonight's games:

Jazz @ Pistons (Pistons lost in Cleveland last night)
Grizzlies @ Bulls
Lakers @ Rockets (Can they all get sucked into another dimension?)
Blazers @ Spurs
Bucks @ Clippers

Tonight could be really good for the Jazz. They could go up 3 games on the Clips and the Thunder would only be 1.5 behind them for 5th.

Jazz have the toughest remaining schedule in the league. They need to stay focused and close these games out. Every game is a must win now. Jazz need HCA in the 1st round.

To be fair we have Rudy who complains on nearly every call against him. I ignore it because I love him of course.

Rudy's much improved this year in foul whininess. I think he accepts some of the calls and is in a better/ more confident place. Last year he had a major persecution complex.

3 nationally televised games to finish out the final stretch. ESPN, TNT, and ABC. 4 if you count NBAtv.

Sucks. League pass blackout & we are off cable. Need to go to a bar to watch the games.

Low-key the Utah/Cleveland matchup tomorrow is the biggest game of the season. We win that game and we are tied in the W column with the Cavs. Need that home-court advantage for the Championship.

Bucks are a lot deeper team than I realized. Lot of young guys on that team, though. Two rookies starting.

I wouldn't be surprised if OKC took the 5 seed. We need H.C.A. - OKC has been bad on the road this season though they did beat us by 2 at home.

There was a lot of choking in that game.

Snell missed wide open 3 to ice the game
Giannis missed jumper to put them up 3
Griffin post-up fail
